Yeah, I think this might have to be bought.

I wasn't initially too keen on him turning into a fighter but that mode looks pretty awesome. Am I just making it up or did someone say it's ship mode isn't going to be the traditional aircraft carrier? I'd be quite happy if it didn't.

I like it!

I'm skipping the Heartmaster, unless I see one on sale somewhere (are they even being sold through the regular outlets or just on FPs site?)

But I never had a Broadside, so I'm really looking forward to this.

From what I understand, the Heartmaster release is an early and cheaper release exclusive to Fansprojectcore members and will be released on a future (currently unspecified) date to the regular outlets.

Venksta has said otherwise. Wishful thinking based on someone elses wishful thinking is not fact.

Thanks for the welcome!

Unless we're not talking about the same item (Heartmaster... WB-002), I'm not sure what part you are saying is not fact. The Fansproject order page for the item says it's an "exclusive release of 800 with special pricing for Fansprojectcore members". This implies there will be a release with "non-special" pricing for non-members.

The only thing I've seen Venksta debunk is the assumption that this release is a different color than the main release. He even went as far to say "The fact the pricing is less than what a retailer will be charging off the bat...". Key word there is "will".

I'm just saying that spreading rumors based on the hopes of someone else isn't what we should be doing now. For right now, this is the only release confirmed by any parties in the know. Next is notBroadside then eventually their cross series Menasor which was just "confirmed" for us the other day. As it stands, Heartmaster looks like a one off without repaints like Defender was. At least, until were let in on some other info.

Zod... did you even read my post? It's not a rumor... go to their order page & read:http://fansprojectcore.com/product/wb-002-warbot-steel-core

Also... since you put so much value on Venksta's word, here's his last post here on the matter. Pay attention to bolded "will" towards the end:

Venksta wrote:Anyways, for anyone still thinking Fansproject Core is just a separate group, with some sort of license. FansProject would not bother releasing a new figure through a group, with just 800 pieces. Thats a big loss financially, and no one makes money. Plus, we should have seen a price tag of $100+ before shipping for Steel Core. The fact the pricing is less than what a retailer will be charging off the bat, even at $79.99 price tag, shows FansProject is definitely a big part of FansProject Core.

I'm sorry, but saying that this "exclusive special-priced release for members" is the ONLY release is the real rumor here. It's the only scheduled release at this point... which is exactly what I said in my original post... but it has both been implied by Fansproject and later confirmed in these forums by Venksta to have a retail release forthcoming.

zodconvoy wrote:Venksta has said otherwise. Wishful thinking based on someone elses wishful thinking is not fact.

Can you please show me where "Venksta has said otherwise"... or are you the one spreading the so-called "rumors" you're sitting here preaching against?

Somehow I just think you're looking for someone to argue with... and that's cool, I don't mind... but until you show some proof to what you're claiming, it just doesn't hold any water.

I hope this guy will be a FPC figure like Steel Core is so the cost stays lower. Especially with those nice chunks of die-cast on him. I'll definitely buy it.

As far as I can tell, you are correct. Everything FPC has announced points to a regular release of this figure to other online retailers as well.

I passed on a minty complete G1 Broadside at the flea market for 10 bucks a couple years back. I still need a Broadside. THis will do quite nicely.
I really like the elongated torso and low hips. Really gives the sense of size and power.

sfunny, I don't consider £120 for Steel Core cheaper than the £80 we are for Defender.
