Crazy right?! They are going all out for the next few years!Black Hat wrote:...And a DEVASTATOR?
Good lord. It's a good thing I don't intend to have more than a small MP collection, 'cause otherwise I'd need to take out a mortgage.
We do know that it is 60cm (23.6220472") to the top of the wings and 55cm (21.6535433") to the top of the head in robot mode. dalianjj over at TFW2005 (I think he's a designer for FansToys) posted that info in the thread. I don't have any interest in the figure - even if price and space weren't humongous issues, I just don't care for Omega - but I'm really curious exactly how big this guy is just for curiosity's sake.
I think that's the issue I have with most 3rd Party figures anyway. The price on this guy is gonna be $350 plus. I think it HAS to be just due to the scale and the fact that they aren't gonna make 10,000 of them or something (I mean I guess they could..I don't know how many of any figure gets made ). $200 seems to be my self imposed limit on a figure, so I would probably stick with the idea of Has/Tak making one (albeit not as hefty, and the fit and finish may not be as nice), but they would most likely come in under the price that I would pay. He's not a key character to me, but I would DEFINITELY like oneKurona wrote:Talking of price though, I think that's really gonna make this an incredibly niche figure. I mean just from the few posts on this thread I can see there's certainly an audience, but damn some of you must have the nicest spouses on the planet. I'd be beating you over the head with a newspaper saying we could buy the entire Titans Return line twice with that budget

Semantics aside, it is something to take into consideration. A lot of the time buying from third parties is justified by the buyers by their saying "oh well HasTak's never gonna make it", but a lot of the time it just ends up being impatience. Look at all the third party not-MP Shockwaves and Infernos that are now getting sold on ebay and reduced massively since Takara did, indeed, make their own ones. A lot of the time it's just... well, a matter of time - do you really think they're not gonna make an MP Jazz? Really? Reeeeally?
And it's even more apparent here when we know an Omega Supreme is coming from HasTak years in advance. This isn't just something to put a fair bet on; we know he's been designed, we know he's coming eventually. And while we don't know anything about what the official version would be like, surely the very existence of an official much cheaper Omega Supreme downgrades Terminus Giganticus here (awesome name btw, don't know why I didn't say it before) from a must-buy to one for due consideration?
Hell, even if you're deadset on this one, I'd still wait until the official one comes out. By then it'll have dropped dramatically in price due to competition from a much cheaper HasTak version - once again, note the MP Shockwave and Inferno examples - and I highly doubt something this expensive and niche would have sold out. I really recommend waiting until the Titan-class; not necessarily because it'll be cheaper or do it better or whatever, but because then you have options and then it'll also likely be easier to get Terminus if he's still the one you choose.

I'm very curious about that myself... based on the height of MP10, this OS seems he'll be really close the the height of Metroplex....Agamemnon wrote:I wonder how he looks next to Has/Tak Metroplex/Fort Max.

Its gonna weigh 11 pounds too
