Hey guys.

The Vicious Flying Monster class was added as a reward after the last round of the Campaign storyline, but also as an experiment by Burn and I as we continue to investigate ways that we can improve the game for you within the toolset that Burn has access to.

The VFM isn't the only one we intend to add (although we won't be discussing those here due to spoilers which is a spoiler in itself I guess...), but we would really like to know what you think of this alt class to help us in the future.


Do you use it, and if so do you like it and why?
Did you try it but ditch it straight after?
Did you ignore it completely?
How does it compare with other Ram/Avoid equivalent classes?
Got strong opinions on it either way?

We are after all opinions - even negative ones as if we don't know your complaints about it, we can't work to fix them.

I'm using it but not loving it.

Brazenose has IMHO a decent build but isn't performing as well as my other guys of similar level.
First, I hate avoid. Used to love it when I was down at L0-1 but it's use goes waaay down with each level increase.
Trouble is, all tne alts I like the look of for the character have avoid or are single tactic alts (which I also don't favour).
Second, I don't think this alt uses it's tactics as often as it should. I have avoid and bite set to 10 each but he seems to use his weapon more than the tactics. When a tactic is uses I'd estimate it's avoid 3/5 of the time.
Single tactic biters seem to be using bite all the time but I didn't think the strafe/bite pandabunny alt or this one bite very often.

In all honesty, I'm thinking of killing the character off an making another ram/strafe build instead with a new character. :/

I complforgot about the new alt mode. I seldom alternate my alt modes unless one strikes my fancy or if I am needed for the TAG team.

I ignored it. Unless helping with the TAG team as a crash test dummy, I roll repair bots. I'm interested in Bite, but not enough to run it without repair.

Guess again.

Had it on Hellbent for a while... didn't do that great, had max bite and near max avoid. Did not bite a whole lot. Then again seems like my guys just couch potato themselves a lot, so probably unlucky.

Case in point: WHY WON'T YOU BITE ANYTHING YOU USELESS GIT!? YOU HAVE 10 POINTS IN BITE!!

I've given Bite on it a slight change. See if that improves things.

Will keep a keen eye on it and report back.

It's okay, not overpowered, but probably shouldn't be anyway.

the alt isnt brazen enough you could say

Bite seems to be working fine now.

TBH, probably will ditch the alt for another tactic combo to get rid of using avoid at some stage. Strafe/bite probably.

To try and encourage its use a bit more, the Vicious Flying Monster Class has had it's pre-req for Avoid reduced from Skill 5 to 2.

Go and bite someone's face off!
