That's probably because he was done last year from Animated Prime. So its unlikely he'd get a new version so soon if at all.

Well they don't mind repeating characters (Breakdown, Thundercracker) so it's not impossible. But it was just a joke suggestion really, I think whoever this character is will be someone more significant that Toxitron.

Like SG Nemesis Prime, the purest soul in the world. He can walk on water and has the power to heal kittens. He is love.

And have Bandai sue them for creating new molds based on their designs? I don't think so. Remember, Hasbro owns the franchise, but Bandai owns the original molds.

Well if FansProject can make something that looks like Springer, but legally isn't (I think Venksta claimed somewhere that a lawyer said they could sell it in stores and could get away with it), then I see no problem in Hasbro making figures that resemble GoBots. But that's getting off topic.

If it were Gobots themed, Classics Jetfire could work for Leader-1.

I'm guessing and really hoping it's Guiltor. Why not, it'd be an easy Prime remold, it's from the 80's, it's must have(for me), and he's never had a figure EVER. Plus, they never revealed what happend to the body....

Why would any of you want them to make gobots. I am a loyal transformers fan and would hate to see the few figures we get a year from botcon be some ill fated competitor that never made it out of the 80s. I would not waste my money on gobot redos of classic transformers. Gobots belong with Mask, the Centurians and Dinoriders way in the bottom of the old toy box.

We're not saying we WANT it to be a GoBots theme. We're saying that it MIGHT be a possibility since it's one that's been requested constantly for years.

Besides, it would work since several GoBots characters have already been made into Transformers characters, such as Bug Bite, Bad Boy, Treds, Small Foot, Path Finder, Road Ranger.

I have Fracture, aka Crasher, and it's a pretty cool figure...but I more or less agree. For retail prices, sure, do 'em up and I'll buy 'em. But for $300+, I can do without more Gobots. Then again, if BotCon is in Pasadena again, do the Gobots cuz I don't think I'll have it in the budget to go next year. If it ends up being in Chicago, though, please do something more Classics specific! Image

They better not do Classics again. Remember the outrage over the 2007 set?

I think only the Seekers were the main issue here. I don't see any important subgroups that would need completion immediately, if anything Sandstorm and Broadside for the Autobot Triplechangers. Springer was already done in 2007, as a repaint of Cybertron Defense Hot Shot.

yeah, Warbot looks decent. I'd like something that fits more with my Classics though. By which, I really mean one that I can afford. ;) I was late to the Defender party.

There's still a lot of scope for characters even if they were to do some iteration of G1. I know I brought legalities into the mix earlier by mentioning movie toys, but I still want to know if, now that Hasbro has the license to create toys of Marvel characters...if they can create toys based on characters that made their first/only appearances in the Marvel comics?

If the Marvel comics were fair game, we could get an easy Last Autobot repaint out of Vector Prime (although there was that one repaint that was close enough) or Xaaron out of...someone with a new head. I'm sure there are more. give him a spear hand and a new head and the right colours, I could see Straxus/Skullgrin's mold being a good enough Impactor.

It was previously suggested that Xaaron be made from a tank altmode Megatron toy since Xaaron's desing was based off of G1 Megatron and he turns into a tank. Though, of all the tank Maegatron toys, I fear the only one that would work the best for Xaaron would be that lousy Classics Ultimate Battle Megatron. :-|

I agree, you definitely do think your guess is the best!

I'd quite like the PCC commander bots to get some more use, even if a couple of them weren't up to much.
