Neck Breaker looks really good. So far, he & Heavytread are my favorites. Devastator also looks great. The chest shield makes that whole area look a lot better.

Not completely satisfied with the render of Mixmaster though.

Because it's Devastator, and it's being done right. Robot, construction vehicle, body section for each character. Detail & care to each piece. One honkin' combiner of epic proportions quite literally.

Sell an organ, take out a bank loan, hit the lotto. That's about the only way I see it happening.

Now, I'd go for that. MT version in G1 colors. TFC in G2....

Agree, I think Madblender was always going to be the difficult figure of this set though. Which probably explains why it's the last release and that we've seen so little of it. I don't know about anyone else but for me it will probably be the figure that stands out the most in all forms.

well, I imagine there's only so much you can do with a robot that has to incorporate a giant mixing drum that doesn't look like complete crap. probably explains why I had to do a double take b/t the TFC render and the MakeToys prototype -- almost exactly the same.

There is entirely too much black on the figure. And why is Not-Devastator's head so innaccurate? Why go through all of the trouble of making this only to stop short so much on the head? The black is paintable. The head.....well I just don't know what to say.

I suppose we should not be surprised after handling Exgraver that TFC is rather serious when it comes to connecting Hook to Longhaul, that looks like a fearsome array of connection ports and pegs, I imagine the truck cab is hiding another one as well.

Well, Devestator had a lot of different heads. The entire project looks loosely inspired by this pic: http://www.oafe.net/yo/art/tf_dev15.jpg

Maybe if we all lobby maybe they'll make different heads as add-ons...? I dunno.

HAAHAA Dude, follow your own link! That's funny! You know, I realize G1 Devy's head did not look like this, but I'm not sure it warrants an upgrade. Overall, the figure (and all of its individual components) does a fantastic job of paying respects to the original Jolly Green Giant. I kinda like this head. It seems to portray a more knowledgeable, even wise/intelligent warrior as opposed to the smasher brute from the original cartoon.

lol, I guess just posting a link counts as hotlinking! Oh well, it should work if you copy and paste it into your browser.

Anyhow, the point is still that Devestator had many heads. 2 different versions in the toon, another on the toy, and yet another in the more detailed Japanese G1 art (can't remember where that art's from, it's the pic the link is SUPPOSED to link to; it's the look I think they're going for). When you have so many sources to draw from, well ... it becomes less of an issue when there's artistoc interpretation.
