whats up guys i live in jacksonville. not much here other than walmart.TRU.and target. where do you guys go to get your TF's
the only real cool place i've been to is:
ACME toys and comics near orlando. i've gotten a couple things from there a tad bit over priced but an amazing store.

ACME is both a blessing and a curse.

You can find awesome deals there on occasion. They get collections brought to them on a regular basis.

Their stuff isn't always in the best shape though and the prices can be unreasonable if you don't watch out.

The staff is really cool too, but the owner/manager/whatever offers what are essentially insulting offers for trade and sale. Everytime I dealt with him (and those times were very few), I felt like he was treating me like I have no idea what things are worth and what's worse, he took the attitude that he was being generous with his offers.

:-x

I would not do business with ACME comics ever. They are the local "toy scalpers". They zip into anyplace they can, buy everything up, and then put them on their shelves for outrageous prices. You will find that if a business puts something on clearance, the stock would disappear overnight and suddenly ACME will have all new stock at double the retail price. I've had friends who had worked at the place who told me of this practice.
On the other hand, 50Million Toys and Farpoint are both cool places that have prices that actually compete with retail (It think both are in Casselberry). Both carry second hand toys, so you can pick up loose figures for very cheap, and they carry some brand new stuff as well. I usually get my figs at Farpoint. The guys there are pretty enthusiastic about their stuff. They are geeks, which is the kind of comics/toystore owner I like to deal with.

BTW, if anyone is looking for Bumblebee 08 or Dreadwing, there were ONE each left in the DeLand WalMart when I bought my BB 08 & Arcee last night.

I might have a bit more luck, as I live in the Orlando area, so we got our K-Marts, TRU, Targets, Wal-Marts, Kb Toys, and other outlets:
TIP: Go to your local Bells Outlet or Big Lots around early next year and you'll most likely see a bunch of wave 1 Transformer toys on the cheap. This is a continued pattern (even admitted by the manager) that after a while, they get alot of the leftover action figures, and toy waves. For example, yesterday I saw alot of Deluxe Mirages, and Cybertron toys in the shelves.

I'm in the Sebastian area and if I head down to Vero Beach I can hit 2 Walmarts, a Target, and a KB Outlet. If I go up to Melbourne I can hit one of the worst TRUs ever and another Target. My options are limited. There's a good comic shop in nothern Melbourne but they're kinda limited on their toy selection and if I won't drive up there to get comics anymore I certainly won't go looking for Transformers.

Woo Floridians unite!

Anyone got any leads on the classics line? I still need a few of them (Grimlock, Rodimus, Astrotrain, and the ever elusive Soundwave).

Is ACME the joint near a hospital in Casselberry going toward Oveido? If so, I got G1 Snaptrap there, sans accessories, for $5. Shell with it.

If not, the place I'm thinking of has row after row of toys, floor to ceiling. The X-formers are in the back kinda near the comix. Next time I go to my sis in Oveido, I'll check it out.

Other than that, I hit up Big Lots, Family Dollar, Dollar General, Bealls, and random discount store about once a month.

Also, I go to Flea Markets and yard sales pretty frequently on the weekends. It's hit or miss, but when you score a G1 for cheap, it rox!

However, most of my toys come from eBay. You gotta be smart about it, but I'm a G1'r so there are few alternatives.

When did you get it?

There is a good chance that it was formerly mine. :D

i'm in the sw florida fort myers area

ok today i went to go get new shoes so i desided to go on my " transformers run" (3 walmarts, 1 tru, 2 targets, a kb toys and a k mart....)this is what i found:

north fort myers walmart: nothing new but opposite to the transformer section in the car section they had 15 each of both alt ravage and rumble... at $15 each!!!!!!

fort myers tru: had nothing new

fort myers kmart: same thing

fort myers target: had 2 dreadwings so i picked one up; no bumblebees or arcees

south fort myers walmart: had nothing new

Payless shoes: $29.99 for new skate shoes for work =)

Gulf coast town center kb toys: nothing new

G.C.T.C. target: has FAB bumblebee and FAB barricade... picked one of each up

last i was bumbed about not finding bumbles or arcee so i went to my work (lehigh acres walmart) to look at the schedule for tomorrow and i find 2 NEW BUMBLEBEES in the toy section with a dreadwing so i pick up only one bumblebee cause i'm not a greedy s.o.b. ; still no arcee

hopefully we will get more wave 4 tonight on the truck...... fun how arcee is the hardest for me to find =)

That's too bad man, so your Target got rid of the classics line too? I checked the closest one by me (Merrit Island) and they only had the movie toys.

I picked up Grimlock at a KB Toys outlet in Vero Beach last weekend. Paid the inflated KB price of $12.99 but it's a lot better than the prices on eBay.

Rodimus I just recently got off eBay for $2.25.

Yeah that is better than the Grimlock prices on ebay, all the ones on my watch list are anywhere from 20$ to 30$ at the moment, and that doesn't include shipping. How many Grimlocks did they have there?

Wow you got lucky with that Rodimus, was he sealed or opened? The lowest one I've seen was 9.99$ but that quickly went up.

Man now I feel like an idiot. On my recent trip to Puerto Rico, there department stores had the deluxes for $8.88. I bought Grimlock immediately, but I could have also bought Mirage for that price.
Ok, I'll spill. You guys want to know a secret?
In the shopping district in Walt Disney World called Downtown Disney, they have a Hasbro toy store called Once Upon a Toy. Usually they have a plentiful amount of Transformers but at a higher than retail cost. Deluxes cost $12.95, Voyagers at $24.95, and Leaders at about $59.99 I believe. Go there if you absolutely have to.

I haven't received it yet but it's supposed to be sealed NIB. I think a lot of people were scared because the dude has 0 feedback but he accepted Paypal and that was good enough for me. Seems like a nice enough guy so far.

Ah ok, well either way that's a heck of a deal. By the way, did you happen to see if they had any other Grimlocks at that KB outlet?

They had one extra but I already sent him off to my nephew. I'm gonna swing by Big Lots this weekend so I'll keep an eye out.
