There is more to Transformers than movies, cartoons, comics and toys. Discuss anything else Transformers here.

I'm in awe that most modern comics and toys are G1-based.
If all you knew was G1, you'd be able to understand and relate to 90% of the Transformers discussions and podcasts out there today.
That says alot about the tenacity, longevity, and endurance of G1.

Yeah, G1 is awesome. Without it we wouldn't have fantastic figures like the Masterpiece line, or Marvel Crossovers Hulk. That's an awesome figure. Hulk is awesome.

The gestalts were the best part of g1. My favorite combiner is Bruticus.
Combiner Wars made Devastator much bigger than all the other gestalts. I'm guessing it's because he's the fan favorite.
I'm still waiting for a IOS Transformers game that is as G1esque as Transformers Legends.

I like that Devastator is huge. Makes it easier for him to crush Omega Supreme.
Because Omega Supreme is a right royal tosspot. Seriously. The rocket ship flies all the way to Cybertron but leaves the base back on Earth? That's just silly.

This was way better worded than my thread.
Seriously, G1 is so cool. I really want some of the figures, even though compared to today's modern toys they seem helpless.

The Masterpiece Shockwave is quite good, even retaining the G1 electronic sound and light effects. Masterpiece Megatron is miles better than the G1 toy, which did not do the character justice. Now I want to see a Masterpiece Galvatron.

the G1 toy for megatron came first, it was not the toys job to do the cartoon character any justice.

I think it's cool that IDW gave Omega Supreme to be in two places at once:
Omega's rocket mode carried most of Optimus Prime's Autobots and the captive Megatron into space, while his base mode remained on Earth with Bumblebee. Orphans of the Helix

So how'd he transform then?

In this case he could not transform. He had to self-sacrifice.
We do find out Omega has another ability:
Ironhide broke one of Omega's walls while returning from exploring Cybertron's hostile surface, but was assured that it'd grow back. The Autonomy Lesson

Yep, that's enough IP matching to confirm my suspicions. See you again in a few months I guess DG/GM.
