Aiming down the sights of a rifle and having it flail around like it does however does not. Its like MGS1 sniping with no pills, possible, but a pain in the ass.

Uh...you do know saying Solid Snake has the same problem holding a rifle doesn't exactly strengthen your argument, right?

BeastProwl wrote:I can hold a rifle sturdier than that, and im neither trained nor qualified.

Yeah, but have you? Rifles aren't exactly lightweight.

Resident Evil 6:
Dropped $5 on the Mercenaries map pack, because getting those costumes made me really like Mercenaries mode. Found some totally badass dude and we S-ranked three of those suckers like a pair of badasses. I prefer Sherry's alternate costume because I can't tell of those are shorts or a pair of briefs. Also she starts with two Red Herbs, and that's nice to have.

...and after that, I realized the level cap increase for Borderlands 2 was released for $5, and I don't have another $5 to spend! Well played, Handsome Jack, you devious bastard!

Snake never gets any training either does he? Yet from MGS1, the one I mentioned as a GAMEPLAY EXAMPLE, to MGS4, his sniping goes from, whatever it was, to something more realistic. No its not perfect, but its not all over the frikkin screen either.

Shadowman wrote:Yeah, but have you? Rifles aren't exactly lightweight.

Yes I have, wouldn't have brought it up otherwise. I cant hold it perfectly still by any means, but I can hold it more still than Shephard. See, if it just flailed around like that when he was moving, it would make more sense. But it flails around ALL THE TIME, even when crouching down as still as possible.

Realistic. Like, sitting the in middle of a battlefield, moving, with no spotter, and still being able to hit a moving target in the head.

Realistic.

Sure.

MORE realistic, not realistic in general.
Metal Gear and Mass Effect, come on now...

Also, dude, dont waste your time with that conference call. Get the Interfacer Shotgun, its superior.

And an infiniti pistol and a Bee shield probably wouldn't hurt.

Oh, and having near-perfect aim without using the tripod, just holding it up. Realistic.

Now, just so we're on the same page, you do understand that that only drops, very rarely, from Voracidious (Who can only be fought once a day, mind you, and who I can only solo on Normal Mode) and can only be bought using Seraph Crystals, right? Two things that I can't farm solo? I'm sticking with the Conference Call for now.

The Infinity and the Bee, sure, those can be done. But between the Conference Call and the Interfacer, the Conference Call wins out of sheer simplicity.

I'll give you a level 50 caustic infiniti, bee, and meteor shower, all you need do is ask. Also, once you get enough crystals, use the same method to dupe weapons to get unlimited seraph items. Buy it/them, give the item(s) to your mule, have them save and quit, than hardquit. Thus, saving the item on your mule, and the crystals on you. Unlimited Seraphs, easier than farming. Also, you can kill Pyro Pete a limitless amount of times from what I understand. Just get squished by the elevator and after you kill him, run back in, rince repeat.

If you cant farm them solo, go online, and do it with your friends, or strangers. Crystals for everyone. You can also solo Master Gee very easily. Run him into that acid, hide behind the rock by the entrance, flip over to TV or go outside, whatever. Check back after an hour or so, it takes a long time. Grab loot. The End.

Hit the cap about a month ago. Dont have the increse yet. All my friends do. Sad Face.

Mass Effect

Put more points into sniping, getting fairly accurate. I Rescued blueboobs on planet desert, I cant remember any of these names for ****, but overall, liking the game so far, even getting more used to the squirrely control scheme.

Tell me, did I make the right choice in my class? I think its engineer or something, able to use medium armor, has that (so far useless accept to heal) holographic tool on his hand, etc.

I hate that I cant use heavy armor or freaky powers. Will this cost me down the road? Ive gotten far enough into the game that restarting would really be a pain, but i'm open to suggestions as to what I can do to better my character.

There's never, at any point, a situation where one class would be left at a huge disadvantage. There are situations where one class would be better to be than another, but every class would have a situation like that.

And knowing how Mass Effect works as a series, no, nothing related to Classes could cost you anything.

Borderlands 2:
The new patch fixed a bug, so I was able to finally finish the Torgue DLC on TVHM. Gaige is now, hey hey hey, 51. Also got a brilliant idea that left Maya eight level ahead, which was "Start a co-op game with myself while I fight the Warrior a bunch."

Star Trek Online:
Finished the Borg season. Things got easy when I realized I could just make an item, for free, whenever I wanted, that would make my weapons overcome Borg adaptation.

DC Universe Online

About a month ago, I created a new character, a Green Lantern named Eugene Drake. (to understand my character's name, google cities named Eugene, you also will have an idea of the controversial color scheme I gave this character)

I am at level 21 with one power point unused. Any of you guys have any ideas on what I should use the focus my next few power points on. My character is kinda stalled in development, he was way above average at level 8, but seems kinda weak at level 21. Maybe, I overuse ranged attacks and under-use brawling techniques.

My powers so far (I definitely overemphasized the assault tree!). * means powers I currently use

*light claws
boxing
*mini gun
* spikequake
ram
light weight
* chompers
* whip thrash
* chainsaw

My other character Darga Shadow (gadgets, super speed, and martial arts) is at level 24. I miss his stealth capabilities when I use Eugene Drake. His only "useless" powers is Word of Might and Dash Attack. I under-use Phase Dodge and just don't use Cyclone Push.

Thanks for any advice

Finally figured out why that Emblem wouldn't unlock; for whatever reason, it listed it listed the second emblem in Chris Chapter 4 as completed, even though that was the one I was missing, while the first emblem, one I actually had, was listed as incomplete. Breaking the second Emblem solved the issue, so now I finally have all the Emblems.

Also I got seriously addicted to Mercenaries Co-op. S-Rank every time, too.

Bioshock Infinite

Played it on normal. Beat it. The ending was confusing as f*** and I think it ended on a cliff hanger. Maybe... It really changed my view on the series. Because the first 2 was set in Rapture where it was a city under water. Okay cool. Then 3 was about a city in the sky. That's cool too. BUT NOW YOU'RE TRAVELING BETWEEN WORLDS AND TIME TRAVEING AND S***! WHAT THE F*** IS GOING ON?!?!?!

Same. I like the shows, and the better movies. (Wrath of Khan and First Contact in particular; two movies any good sci-fi fan should watch) But I'm in the same boat as JJ Abrams; I like Star Trek, but I'm a much, much bigger fan of Star Wars.

Well, near as I can tell, by...something something to Booker, they something something the alternate universes, collapsing something back into less something.

Oh, but here's a fun fact. Y'see, one of those alternate universes, Comstock worked with Andrew Ryan to found Rapture. Seeing as Comstock no longer exists, Elizabeth(s) just retconned the first two games out of existence.

Confusing as hell. That's Bioshock for you.

Actually, my opinion on Star Trek is about the same as you guys (except I might more into Trek than Star Wars, deep down like oldest versions of both most). I was just unusually bratty yesterday and saw a rare incident where Shadowman did not mention the minute detail of a sci-fi series. I just googled "Klingon hell" and voila, I got Gre'thor!

Wigglez, I created Eugene Drake just about a week after we played, plus my playing time was interrupted by the NCAA Basketball Tournament. I wasn't sure you want babysit a snot-nosed level 5 Lantern. Especially, one with my color scheme (trust me, you may disown me as a friend when see my character, I personally that the Lantern Corps accept all with the right moral fiber despite race, creed, and color [hint, hint]). Beside, I want to some learn on my own. This is my first MMO I ever played! Side recommendation: if you ever want create another villain, I would recommend gadgets as a power. I can create another rookie too!

To both Shadowman and Wigglez: I am new to the game, so I will create several other characters. Need to experiment. Heck, I may create other lantern or two. Heck, I may create a heroic version of Darga Shadow (the character I played with Wigglez), if you want Wigglez. Don't worry guys, Eugene Drake seems to be a keeper.

Two other questions:
Is there any Lantern powers you guys would recommend? I now have two unused power points and want to be sensible shopper.
Am I messed for creating a villain as my first ever character?

Just put the smackdown on Freeze, It was awesome. Since I was a kid, he's always been my favorite Batman villain. He's tragic, cold, and cunning.

Now, I love Arkahm as a series, but I dont understand any of it. I mean, yeah, I get what's going on in game, but beyond that I'm in the dark.

Since were all nerds here to one degree or another, can one of you point me in the right direction as for a comic series to read to understand the mythos better as a whole? I want to get into comics so bad, but i've never been able to, and if I'm starting anywere, its with Batman.

A sad admittance, I know. Ive never read a comic series, not one.

Same here. In fact, this is the only MMO I ever plan on playing unless the decide to come out with a Mass Effect MMO (which is where I see this series coming to. When you see one in production, just think "Wigglez called it!")

The villain thing, no. As for recommending a power for your GL character, get the fan. It pulls people in toward you and stuns them. and if you mash the square button afterwards your fan move is done, you can start slicing them with the claws without actually having the claws equipped as a power. That same thing with the train and you start attacking with the chainsaw without having the chainsaw equipped. As for me, I still have the chainsaw equipped because the train knocks people back which isn't useful for getting in close with the chainsaw. Complications...

BeastProwl wrote:Arkahm City

I didn't start reading comics 'till recently but I still knew a lot of stuff about Spider-man and Superman. You can thank 90's cartoons for that

Mass Effect

I started this after I got done reading the book Mass Effect Revelations. The books was pretty good. But since I started the game, I beat the Edan Prime mission, went to the Citidel, found evidence against Saren and now I'm a Spectre. I tried doing as much Citidel based side missions as possible, but eventually got bored with them and took off in the Normandy. My first mission to embark on, find Liara so I have my full team for every other mission I go on.

Eh. Everything I know about Batman I learned from everything except the comics. DCAU, the movies, games, all that. That and Wikipedia.

Also known as The Mage Suicide Simulator.

I'm running the campaign solo using the Space Marine robes (since they make you nigh unkillable as long as you're not stupid). Up to Chapter 5. I like to kill things with arcane beams of frosty electric death. And flaming lightning bolts. And giant burning boulders. And fire. Lots of fire.

Two rounds of Steam, one Arcane and two Lighting, makes the strongest beam attack in the game. (FQFQSAA, in case you're curious) Although according to the Magicka Wiki, three Steam, one lightning, and one arcane is even more powerful.

Mixing random elements is half the fun of the game though.

Well, obviously. But when something is trying to kill you, it's best to put experimentation aside and go for what you know will cause massive death.

True. Plus, using that combo, I can still scream "UNLIMITED POOOWWWAAAHHH!" whilst melting things.

I've since advanced to Chapter 7. Defeated Khan using the Arcane-Thunderstorm Beam mentioned above. He melted rather quickly.
