:BOT:

I'm with ya on the SDCC stickers. They don't stay put for crap. Though they may look nice, they don't have the long term adhesive properties as the standard version.

I find the ones at the end of his vehicle mode on his legs basically were the only ones I had trouble with sticking. I ended up using a very light coat of clear stick glue and then put some little things over them to hold them down while they dried for 24+ hours which seemed to work. But yes, it does take some serious time to apply them all. And the instruction sheet isn't the clearest on some of the city version placements. But you can figure it out looking at pictures online and what not.

Hey Dirk, I noticed that you were in San Diego. I'm here in Diego as well. It's good to see another local here on the boards.

Canadian retail, Toys R' Us in Surrey B.C. Price: $139.99
Alongside some restocked Powerizers, some Beast Hunters, Platinum Magnus, and the Platinum Grimlock/Bruticus pack (Which is ten bucks more than Metroplex)

I ordered a metroplex from the TRU website when they were doing pre-orders in late august - but instead of having it shipped on 9/17 I actually received mine on August 30th.

I have yet to see it in any retail stores in the Los Angeles area though it was also for online order on amazon.

I hate to be a party pooper, but Wal*Mart's website isn't always accurate. It's been my experience that when it says "In Limited Stores" it's either never been there, won't be there, or has been in like 10 or less.

Chances are, he's online only at this point and might see retail release at Wal*Mart in their next seasonal reset, which is due just in time for Christmas, which is when he'll have the best chance of selling. That, coupled with Layaway, should help sales.

But, the rumor is that he's receiving a set amount of production pieces due to his size and price and when they're gone, they're gone. (We'll see. Hasbro's known for clogging shelves with their stuff...)

Amazon's sold out. (Which is surprising.) Looks like HTS and TRU are the only ones with it still available for sale. However, BBTS still has a preorder up. I don't know if that means more are being produced or just some leftover stock from whatever warehouse... I also find it odd that they haven't received that allotment yet. That preorder was for the beginning of September and it's yet to be fulfilled... Hasbro's been shortchanging BBTS for awhile now.

Found two in Port Coquitlam Britsh Columbia.
Sticker price 139.99.........after taxes.......157.
There was one left at that location after i bought one.

EDIT: Unfortunately mine doesn't have any of the voice clips when the button is pushed. Just the transformation noises and stuff. Sorta bummed but whatever. Whaddya do.
Maybe if i transform him into all his modes they'll "unlock" or something. Has anyone else encountered this?

EDIT: Yep....after multiple transformations my Metroplex still doesn't have any voice sound biters when i press the bridge down. Just the transformation noises and whatnot.

I saw Metroplex in my local TrU. 140$ plus 15% taxes! Ouch... Especially for the version that wont talk.

I could buy it from BBTS at 110$, but the shipping will cost 45$ and I will likely be hit by customs.

I don't mind the non talk version if it's on sale. So, let's play the waiting game.

Canadian versions wont talk, but they will make the beeps and pow noises. Retarded language laws, you know.

First, are you Canadian?

In Canada, especially in Québec, things for sale MUST have both French and English on the packaging. In Canada, you can sell some things with an English only box but not in Québec. That why all english only TrU exclusive must be bought from a middleman because TrU cant and wont sell them in Québec.

Many toys have English only voices that are sold in Quebec without problem for some reason. However, most toys are supposed to have a French option for the voice. If the company is too cheap to make the toy speak in both languages, the toy will only say it's name, or won't speak at all. :HEADHURTS:

Just bought Metroplex at Costco for $80. Don't know if that's been officially reported yet, but definitely a great deal.

Is there anyway to know the sales figures (for the retail that is)? Why am I asking? Besides a trivial pursuit it is concerns for future Titan class figures.

Is it a shelf warmer or a no shower?

If the former, it's bad! Hasbro might not want to risk another "Titan" class figure. If the latter, well at least it isn't because no one wants him but that Hasbro's distribution sucks and leaves an window of opportunity to sell some more units.

Just picked mine up today at TRU in Fullerton, CA. They have one more left and about 5 Grimlock v. Bruticus and 2 platinum ultra magnus.
This toy really is huge.

Any sign of Metroplex happening the other side of the Atlantic,
After checking with my 'local' toy store
not on their system,

doubt it'll be in my stocking this holiday
