Enter The Neo Henshin Cyborg!

(Brief History)
All the way back in 1972 the Takara 12" Henshin Cyborg line was released which was a licensed Gi Joe sold in Japan , only to be shrunk down a couple of year later giving us the Microman line , then 20 years later Takara reissued the Cyborgs as Neo Henshin Cyborgs . More here - http://www.microforever.com/henshinindex.htm

A couple of quick pics . He does come with 3 accessories a Helmet , claw hand and a blade hand . more to come .

He has a really nice smoky plastic body shell with chrome robotic parts underneath . The head is removable revealing his small robot head (not sure if you can remove the body shell to have a 12" endoskeleton)

Yo Geno! My Henshin Cyborg is throwing your Henshin Cyborg a big ol' FIST BUMP!

Image

Man, I got this guy back when they first came out. I didn't know then what I know now, and he sat on a shelf exposed to direct sunlight. He has suffered some serious discoloration. I didn't know it could happen to clear plastic. You can see it in his head and hands. :(

He is still fun to play with though. :-D

I dig the smoke on yours, and it looks like he has survived well all these years in his box. Does he still light up?

The description for this cyborg said the light up gimmick was no longer used with the reissues , this is from 1998 , however still had the plastic strip in the back and what do ya know it still works :D (Awkward trying press the back and pose but both sides of the chest light up)

Thanks Cary . These Henshin Cyborgs sure are great pieces to look at with all that detail underneath , shame they can cost an arm and leg or i would buy more . you can get rubber suits for them like monsters , other accessories and actual clothing but again they cost a bit to collect .

That Carrot Blade is also a blaster , it's huge on her little dainty frame

Sweet Bats collection. Great figures for a fun series of games. I still need to play the newest one.

That lil red camera, is that your main camera? What is it and is it micro 4/3s? I use a micro 4/3s Olympus Pen. My wife just a newer fancier model that I still need to steal borrow and try out in the botcave.

Totally kidding!
That is a beautiful display. Love it. So those are all from the game designs? I can ID 97% of those characters, but WHO THE HELL IS THAT GIANT JOKER BEAST?!?!

Edit: Hey I was just back tracking. ('cause yer photos are good, and nice to look at.)
Did you put the Henshin's helmet on OVER his human head? I figured it just went on his Cyborg noodle. That must have been hard.
But, Man! Those accesories your guy has are dope! And translucent! That helmet is cool. Mine came with that fist, a chicken leg, and a monster head so hidiously lame, I can neither recall it, nor locate it.

The Joker, hopped up on what ever drug was the threat of that game. That model is from the lame ass final boss fight in BM: Arkham Asylum.

Bane juice maybe?

Thanks Man , I'm in love with this line and took my time building it so i really appreciate what i have i get thrill evey time i look at it :x

Like Cary answered it is indeed the Joker all pumped up on "Joker Toxin" same stuff they experimented on Bane with , if you look on the top shelf that was the end result .

Who's the last 3%

Hey honestly i'm never taking that damn head off again it's sooo scary and trying to get the helmet off the head was just terrifying .

The helmet and claw are so sweet but that knife arm ? i'm not sure belongs .

Shame the suits for these things cost so much cos they would be a whole lotta more fun .

BM: AC was great. I loved gliding around and dropping in on the baddies.

I'm purposely avoiding FO4. I gots a bad case of the wants. I put in 250+ hours on FO3. I'll nab 4 when it hits the $20 mark. I've really been feeling the need of a huge open world RPG lately. I'm hoping they decide to do a definitive version of Skyrim for the PS4. I'm a single. Player guy, but PM me if you want my PSN ID.

So real talk about the World of Nintendo figures. The quality is all over the place on those, but they are cheap. The size classes (if you will) are also all over the place.

I've got a bunch of the less than $5 ones and for the price they're nice, but very limited articulation. I just picked up the larger Ganondorf from Wind Waker to go with my Nendoroid WW Link and he is basically a nice looking brick (pics in my collection thread). I also have the big honking metroid, but haven't opened it yet.

I got the 4" Link from Skyward Sword and I'd swear it was made by figma. Where the Samus figure is not nearly as nice.

My final thoughts on the WoN figures: If you can get them at or below retail, you probably won't be disappointed. If you want them to look just like the game characters and sit on a shelf, you won't be disappointed. If you wanna take some bad ass action shots, you will be disappointed in most of them.

And finally, the SNOOGLEFLOPPING swear filter got you.

Genos Customs corner update

One of two . I started Dr Arkeville V2 .

This time i used white shoulders to save painting and sanding to prevent paint rub they don't fit perfect so i'm working out what's gong on .

Secondly i have paid much more attention to the body and sanded it down to look more like a shirt as the torso i use is a jump suit and had seams i needed rid of , so i went in a little deeper .

Image

Two of Two .

Now this one isn't my idea nor is it a kit bash and it's not exactly the character design from the toon i would have went for , but for a simple repaint and the figures own design , it has to be done just for kicks .

Found the original custom whilst searching for images from the G1 toon to make my own about a year ago . Last week i found a job lot on ebay for a bunch of figures from the Dino Vally line and there was two of this guy in there.

The big game hunter himself , Lord Chumley!! hunting the autobots .

 Oh man seriously for me FO is one of those games were i actually feel i'm in it!!

FO3 i don't recall actually completing it i get side tracked and do everything but the main mission just constantly roaming .

Thanks Cary . That's pretty much what i expected to here .

Computer game characters is one of the only areas i havent been yet and with all you guys chatting Nintendo it got my sega nostalgia gushing and had me searching for what's out there

I know what Figma SHF D-arts revoltech have offered in the past and that got me wondering how far into Nintendo they will go , So the WON figs looked pretty cool as far as sculpt articulation price , for what they are i think i will pick a couple up

I would like a little collection of Vintage game characters /Smash bros , i enjoyed that game on the wii, and would possibly splash out on some of the high end stuff .

On scale i don't think it bother me too much other then the humans like Samus even Link figma did a delicious job on those two , id even like a Solid Snake .

I'll try and take some quick and dirty pics of my WoN figs and if you want more info or pics I'll see what I can do.

Speaking of dope ass figma video game figs; follow Crammy's sig link to his collection. I posted some crazy tempting low poly model figures from Virtua Fighter there.

Hooray World of Nintendo!!

Geno, I've got the Mega Man Nendoroid on pre-order, along with the Figma A Link Between Worlds Link. The only Nintendo figure I have (minus my Happy Meal toys from when I was a kid) is the Wind Waker Nendoroid Link. Which is awesome.

I've watched the Dan of Pixels too, he reviewed some of the Mega Man model kits and the TMNT figures I like.

I'm still looking to get those World of Nintendo Wind Waker mini-sets, I just haven't ordered them. Maybe I'll buy more than one and make THE OCEAN!!

Also, the Figma Skyward Sword Link is $32.99 on Amazon Prime for us in the states..!
