Getting married...TF style

Been ages since I posted. Last time I did I had sold my collection after a few years of traveling the world. I think that made a few people angry ha.

Anyway, along the way, I met my wife to be. We are getting married next week. She knows I still like the stuff. She buys them for me all the time. My collection has since risen back to newsworthy proportions. Old friends have donated me their collections of some pretty mint G1 stuff and currently I have a friend in Japan bringing me back some goodies.

The point is this..the woman I am marrying has encorporated all this into the wedding, even the groom on the cake topper is a custom Optimus prime in a tuxedo. Every table has a transformer mascot, the photo booth is TF themed and some pretty cool multimedia too.

I'm happy enough to get married, I'm delighted when someone "tolerates" such a collection, but she celebrates it, and that my friends, is worth putting a ring on.

I had to find her on the other side of the planet, but none the less. I'm sure others have stories like this, I'm curious to hear them.

I met my last girlfriend thanks to Transformers. Unfortunately, it didn't work out for us, but she was the 1st girl who not only approved of my "toys" but shared my love of them. It really is fortunate you found someone like that. TF fangirls are out there, but they're hard to find.

congratulations homie!

wow... sounds like it's going to be one cool ass wedding!
I hope you post pics here! I'm sure a lot of people would like to see that!

my wife tolerates my hobby as well, and she adds up to the collection every now and then... it's hard to find women that appreciate and like The Transformers, I guess I got lucky, we never had a real wedding but I've always thought if we ever do, to incorporate The Transformers, that'd be a must!
well, hope you have an amazing wedding and don't forget to post some pics if you can! :APPLAUSE:

I will most certainly post pictures. I think it will be a lot of fun. In fact, if you want the bride and groom to kiss, you have land an RC helicopter on a marked landing pad. :BOT:

Congrats! Sounds like a fun wedding.

My fiancee enjoys my collection. She collects Snoopy stuff, so she knows the deal. In our new house I have a room for my toys, she has a room for hers.

She threw me a Transformers themed birthday party one year. It was pretty cool.

It's good to have someone that understands you.

Well, to be fair it's an easy copter to fly. Little gyro thingsmabob.

This is what we all drank after the wedding rehearsal. Nice to see it arrive in this part of Canada. Thank you Pennsylvania!

Even without Hoptimus Prime, there's also another TF name on that bottle. An old favoutire of mine, Ruckus.

I was engaged years ago. Didn't last I'm afraid but for the years we were together, she was extremely supportive of my collecting. Bought me a collection of 33 G2 Transformers for my last birthday with her. Insisted I have a den to enjoy the collection when we moved in together.

Even after we broke up (parted on good terms thankfully. I always tell people to try and part amicably. Grudges do noone any good), she told me she would have loved to be with me when I first saw TF1 in the cinema.

Anyway, I'm glad you guys have been lucky enough to meet such understanding partners. That said, at the end of the day, Transformers are only toys. Your partners must always come first.

Here's a few more photos. There were a lot of TF details. Hard to capture them all. My favourite was the silver autobot tie clip and cuff links my wife bought me the morning of. Good times!
