Caved and bought a box of the GI Joe 1991 trading cards.

I was told that 9 out of 10 boxes have a complete card set. One of these days, I’ll open this sucker…

I got a Jungle BAT from Walgreens, of all places.

Last week I got Ultimate CC and Roadblock. This week I'm expecting SE, Firefly, and Kwin.

I got my GI Joe dog tags from the mail. It was a mail away from the GI Joe: Retaliation Blu-Ray. It's so cool!

I got a Retaliation Alley and Night Viper from TRU, as well as picking up an Eaglehawk at 60% off....a whole $18!

So now I have a 'cyber ninja', and a deep, deep feeling of relief that I didn't spend ten bucks on it.

Stupid zipline junk. This is a figure that, had they accessorized him better than some suction cups, probably would have been a fairly neat viper. Hell, or even THE Retaliation Viper, so that it'd have been the Cobra generic.

Yeah I skipped that guy, went for the black ninja instead since I like the wings

I know it's been a long time since this thread got any use, but a TRU near my job, for some reason, had a handful of Pursuit of Cobra figures, on May 8th, 2015. I bought a Jungle B.A.T, General Hawk and a Cobra Commander.
And, some months ago, I got the Snow Job/Artic B.A.T two pack.

You traveled forward in time? What's wave 4 of Combiner Wars? In all seriousness in a month or so we'll know what the future of Joe will be. According to the newsletter it WILL NOT be 6" figures and probably will continue the 50th anniversary line.

Honestly Chuck, any news at this point is welcome. even if they say everything is on the backburner and the only new items will be TRU 2-packs at least we'll know where there heads are at.

From what can be inferred from the club newsletter the line will continue with the 2 packs. I think I was told the 3 packs will be phased out but I might be wrong about that.

I've cut back on buying toys but I totally caved for Viper because of the GI Joe/Transformers crossover.

I had this same box too, back in the day, I wasn't even into GI Joe at the time, but got it on a whim...

It is a really REALLY cool card set, in my opinion. Great art work, and me not being super into Joe, you really learned the history of the lore by reading the backs of all the cards. I think it was all based on the comics rather than the toon because some of the cards were of killed off characters.

I remember the set wasn't near complete, and there were a lot of doubles, but I think it did have at least 80% of the cards.

Looking up Snake-Eyes on the internet about stuff... and it looks like they dropped the hyphen?

All my life, I've been use to that hyphen. Like Spider-Man.

When did they drop it?
