I agree the timing is about right for Beast Wars homages. Trouble is 3rd parties cant do it alone without Hasbro providing the core figures. 3rd parties should be filling in Hasbro's gaps, not the other way around. We had Cheetor and Dinobot, but then they stopped. Kind of hard to start a trend with only 2 existing "neo" figures.

Yep, that's what I want as well, hence my idea of using molded soft rubber for the beast bits so that they can be integrated into the bot mode parts like on the show without hindering articulation but still having that fleshy/furry look.
