This bites. I was looking forward to these...

Okay, I look forward to all the Animated toys. I love Animted.

But still, it just seems like a waste of effort to get a new mold for Bumblebee and a new color scheme for Grimlock ready and then just scrap them.

As for Bumblebee not having that Hydrodrive thing on the show, I'm not ready to rule out the possibility of him using it in season three, which was written before the toy was cancelled.

I really hope it turns out that these things are just delayed, rather than cancelled. If they're cancelled, it probably means no more Voyages from Animated at all.

Damn it, I don't want this toyline to be ending! We still don't have Constructicons or Omega Supreme, and there's still two Starscream clones that don;t have toys yet!

Look at it's shape... looks quite a lot like Bumblebee's G1 Cybertron mode.

Sell it first as a submarine, then sell it again later as a G1 Cybertron mode Bumblebee repainted in yellow!

I'm not sure any of these toys have actually been produced, in plastic, in any stage.

With computer imagery the way it is today, these mockups could've been designed on a computer, easily.

Because if these had made it to any phase of production (even the preshow of sorts) we'd have seen at least one of 'em on eBay.

I just find it odd that we've yet to find a single one of 'em.

2. It comes with 2 very cool and show-featured retools

Actually, now that I think of it, it does look a little like G1 Cybertron Bumblebee. Some paint and modifications could've easily done the job.

In looking for a pic online to grab of his G1 Cybertron mode to paste next to his Animated hydrothingie mode, I noticed it's already been done by guys on other TF sites... a few times.
In one in particular, an image comparison was even used in the news block announcing it.
--You've got a tiny, stubby craft.
--With wings.
--Wings that come out of NOWHERE lol.
--With 2 teeny extensions off the front.
--Colors of black, blue and yellow.

--And it happens to be Bumblebee sporting it.

Color it even more yellow... it's passable as a "close re-imagining" of G1, which is what Animated is. All those G1 references aren't there by accident, bro.

I herd the universe line is beating the animated line in sales as far as deluxe goes. And animated is winning the voyager sales as far as sales go. Everytime I go to the store there are no Blurrs or Wrec-Gars and universe deluxes except for poor Cheetor.

I saw in a store last night in Ireland Swoop , Sentinel Prime and voyager Bulkhead

Yeah, those Blurrs are too sexy. They leave the shelves as fast as they hit it.

No doubt it's because:

--Holy crap, that really, really looks like Blurr.
--Ew, neat. Hollow tires!
--Sexy sleek.

...pretty much, he's a testament to how well that scrapped Transtech line would've sold.

I think it's pretty obvious it was at least inspired by the G1 design.

I have nothing against G1, but if they want to do a G1 Cybertronian mode Bumblebee, the place for that is Universe. I don't see why it makes sense to invent a submarine accessory so they can stick something that looks a bit like it in Animated.

meh the grimmy looked ok but I already own the first one and bumbles looked better but still crappy. I guess hasbro wanted to push the movie line more and I'm happy with that!
