Well in that case, why not add robot modes? I'm not talking making a specific robot mode for every single alt mode but like a generic base selection like a scout, seeker, brute, etc.

You get where I am coming from?

Have a read through the HMW forums, there's a suggestion thread there some where.

Take into account that HMW requires a LOT of work and requires a dedicated programmer.

The media section has been broken for ages, when you click on the commercials tab there's just a bunch of code warnings. To give an idea of the last time the media section was given a spruce the blurb references 'the all new Heavy Metal War game'.

If HMW was on Facebook, I might actually play.

Well, that's why I brought it up. It has the potential to be awesome, but no one seems to want to utilize it. It's also kind of difficult to promote Carbombya across different websites as well. I think the best thing might be to tweak the layout and rules a bit. (I'm thinking about suggestions on that) And then we could have news of it spread through word of mouth after some advertising of the new buy sell trade section.

Why not add vehicle modes to the "Customize Profile" part of the UCP?

Not to mention there needs to be more sides than just Autobot, Decepticon, Wrecker, and so on, why not G2 Decepticon, G2 Autobots, Chaos Bringer, and a couple of others?

How about someone does a "Funnies"? You know, Garfield, Marmaduke, Family Circus, Get Fuzzy... But make it a Transformers thing, I couldn't really the drawing, but I could come up with ideas.

For instance, have you heard of Darths & Droids? Or Diem Of The Ring? Why not take screen-shots from G1 and make it a bunch of guys playing Dungeons & Dragons?

Just an idea.

I had an amazing idea just a little bit ago as I was working on a model kit.

I love our art section, but I think we are limiting ourselves when we have only TF based stuff on it. Can we make a general art forum? I guess it could be the general discussion equivalent of Transtopia.

The reason I ask this is because I do a lot of different kits with a variety of methods than be used on TF art. I can do write ups on my projects that should explain it well enough in order to help someone be able to use the method for themselves. I also think it would be cool to post what else the artists are capable of whether it's a resin garage kit or a Gundam kit.

What about a gallery of ready-to-select Avatars for the profiles?

Also, an expanded Flash games section to compliment HMW? There's a game my wife plays a lot called Pet Connect.I reckon a TF version would go down well.You could already stock it with the different faction symols from the smileys gallery to avoid new costs, plus Sibertrons' Cybertron avatar and an Animated Autobot 'Cybertronian guard' insignia.
I assume it (the pet connect format) would be an easy program to write and the game is surprisingly challenging as the levels progress.(Warning: Pet connect is in Japanese,if you seek it out).

The Hasbro website has a so-so draw your own Starwars character game. How about a TF variant, expanded and colorable, for the avatar gallery?

Also, tho more tricky, what about an Email-sending campaign to the big retailers around the world, asking them to send EMails back to Seibertron.com about what new TFs they have in stock for the sightings forum? Too much headache? (It's what I'm guessing).

After that, Remove the colour blue everywhere in ceibertron.com and replace it with white or black. Then just remove this flashy add's, They are irritating. Insted, Just make a fouroum where all adds will be stored and shown:)

Given that the costs to host this site are funded by one person, having the ads helps offset the costs to him.

i think regeonalising carbombya might help.
its annoying as a brit to see a cool sales thread only to find it is US-based, which, by the way, makes it harder, or not possible, to purchase from.

It would be nice if once we reached a certain rank we could choose from all the ones we have been through.

I feel like being able to choose your rank from your previous ones would defeat the purpose of a rank system. However, what if you could choose from a "rank set"? In other words, there would be a few titles within a certain post range that you could choose from. For example, if you have between 0-500 posts, you could choose from Minibot, Micromaster, Fuzor, Vehicon, etc., and between 501-1000 you could pick from a new set. There'd still be an overall sense of rank, but it wouldn't be completely restricting. However, it would be harder to reach a new "rank set" depending on how wide the post count ranges are.

And yes, I am aware how much thought I'm putting into something that's just for fun anyway.

Also, I noticed that it's now required to pick a favorite TF character and figure when you edit your profile/sign up. While it's a fun idea, is it necessary for it to be mandatory? I'd rather not have to pick just one, and I bet some people would rather not have that on their profile.

Sadly this is for spambot prevention. We certainly aren't going to step out of the direction we're heading with that.

I spent a good deal of time typing up a thoughtful response, but I somehow got logged off (not my doing as I'm set to always be logged in) and was prompted to log back in, and upon doing so it wiped out the whole post. WTF?

normally its okay, sometimes you wont be logged in when you go on, and someimes if your internet dies you get logged off.

I left it up overnight for a really important post, and the next morning when I posted, it logged me off, and it completely deleted my post, so I had to start from scratch.
