So when does
Hallmark think it's time to start decking the halls? July the 9th apparently. Not only that, they think we should be doing so with robot dinosaurs! Mark that date, because that's when this
G1 Grimlock ornament is slated for release with a price tag of $15.95. Some might say "why not a tree topper?" while others might say "whoa, slow news day". Either way, see the listing below and stay tuned to Seibertron.com: home for the best

No split on the chest indicates it does not transform

Which is funny, considering the last two were so intricately detailed with the original engineering you'd swear they could transform.
Eh, what are you gonna do? Still pretty cool.

Neither the Optimus or Megatron ornaments did either. But man is that toy accurate! Can't wait to snatch him up too!

Why thank you for that sarcastic comment. Just indicating disappointment and I know the other two didn't either.

Sorry, no sarcasm meant. If anything I'm surprised there is no split, given how detailed this and the others have been.

My apologies, I took it one way when you didn't intend it.

I think I agree with Shajaki, this should be a tree topper with a crown. My son's would all love it, but my wife would probably move out.

Grimlock, why you no in robot mode? Optimus and Megatron were. C-C-C-C-Combo breaker.

We always put Grimlock in our nativity with the wise men (he is a king, and he was manufactured in Asia, so we figure he fits in well enough).

Nope, this is perfect. G1 Dinobots in the cartoon always treated their dino mode like their primary form, especially Grimlock, so this is great!

This thing is super cute. But yeah, that's some odd packaging-and with the decepticon lettering even!

Right? It doesn't even mention Transformers at all outside of the logo (which chopped off the trademark). I'm also a little surprised that there's no mention of Hasbro licensing anywhere on the box when it's all over the website. Really strange, a little shocked Hasbro let them get away with that.

I think it should transform. Just make it out of the same plastic the KO's use and use the same mold as the G1 toy. It'd be easy, cheap, and a great way to reintroduce the mold.

Looks nice and all, but call me crazy, I think Christmas ornaments should actually, you know, have something to do with Christmas. Even something as simple as throwing a santa hat on Grimmy would have made it a thousand times more appropriate for a Christmas ornament.
