Has anyone had dealings with frenzyrumble?

Not sure if this is the right section but i was wondering if anyone has had successful dealings with getting a transformer made by frenzyrumble?
I was asked to pay half upfront for the transformer i asked for, which i did, and i have been waiting over a year now and i keep sending emails which never get replied to. Has anyone else had the same experience?
If anyone knows who he is could you please let him know im still waiting to hear from him on what is going on.

Thanks

He contributes regularly to the kitbash forum http://www.seibertron.com/energonpub/customizations-f143.php

Good luck, I hope it works out for you. His work is truly on another level, but it can be incredibly frustrating to not get a response from someone for an extended period.

When you finally get your figure from him, post some pictures of it.

Did you ever get your custom from FrenzyRumble? I PM'd and emailed him around the same time you did, and while he did initially respond to me (as he did you), stating that I'd receive updates on my custom within a couple of weeks, he never did and fell silent yet again.

I tried PM'ing him once more here on the forums a couple weeks ago and he's not replied yet, and prior to that I'd emailed him once or twice.

I sent him $200 via PayPal way back at the end of 2010 and have nothing to show for it unfortunately, and in that time I've seen him post up tons of new customs on the boards here, on his homepage as well as his YouTube page, many of which had to have been commissioned well after mine since they use new figures/molds which didn't exist back when I commissioned mine.

The last message I sent was telling him to please refund my $200 as I felt I've been more than patient, but my PayPal account has not been reimbursed yet.

I'm going to try contacting him via his email as well as his YouTube channel. Hopefully he reads one of them and finally refunds my money.

I realize my little $400 commissioned custom is probably a pretty small payday for him, but if it's not first come first served, it should at least be 'if the customer has been waiting over 2 years and hasn't received anything to show for the money he/she paid up front, they should be refunded already'.

I don't want to bad mouth the guy, as he seems nice enough and the level of his skills are clearly without reproach, but I'm not going to pretend that I haven't had a bad experience and conceal that fact from the community here either. I did that for a long time, but it's been long enough.

Yeah, i have had the same problems you have had
have emailed him a few times with still no reply as he said he had some family issues he was dealing with i had no problem with giving him extra time.
it has been frustrating seeing him post pics and videos of new customs and wondering well where is mine?

he told me my custom was nearly finished so if it is ill still take it but i agree two years is a long time and i dont think i can recommend him to anyone because of this. I think with my next custom i order i will have to go through someone else as this was meant to be my birthday present for 2011.

hopefully he will reply to us soon, let me know if you get through to him as i still have not

Yeah, I'll post back here if I ever get a response from him. Hopefully you'll have better luck than I have.

This is why I would never pay someone a commission for a custom figure. If you look at some of Frenzy/Rumble's older works, it just confirms that yesterday's customs are today's 3rd party figures. Some poor guy even paid him to paint Energon Omega Supreme in G1 colors. It came out awesome, but I bet he was kicking himself in the ass when YOTS Omega came out for 99 bucks. Better to just be patient and save a lot of money.

Well, FrenzyRumble responded. He said he'd give me my refund, but that it will take 2~3 weeks (the same thing I heard about getting my custom every time I contacted him previously).

Hopefully he actually comes through this time. I just want to put this entire ugly experience behind me.

I emailed him through his website. That seems the most effective way of contacting him.

As for getting my money back, I'll believe it when I see it. This was exactly the type of response I got previously when asking about my commissioned custom (i.e. wait 2~3 more weeks). I hope he's not just jerking me around again, because enough is enough. It's been since late 2010 and I have much better use for $200 of my money than letting him keep it in his bank account or use it for whatever he used it for.

shouldn't this topic be in the customizations forum? i think folks over there might have a little more experience with Frenzyrumble or have a good way of getting in touch with him:
