Hasbro messed up my Thundercracker!!!

I just wanted to vent real quick. I just recieved my Generations Thundercracker from BBTS to find out that one of his landing gear/ chest vent pieces is missing....as in never was attached. Damn HASBRO and their QC issues!!!!! Just be on the look out guys! And I will send a nice notice to HASBRO to watch their QC issues especially since I haven't heard of any so far with this figure.

Just send the figure back to BBTS, with a mail explaining the defect and they'll send a replacement. when it comes to Customer Satisfaction they're top-notch.

Seriously, one measly defect and the whole world is gonna end? Such errors are more common than you guys think, since we're still dealing with humans assembling the figures.

Or...chill and email (politely) BBTS for a replacement.

They will do it with ease and a smile. Just...chill.

Hasbro won't respond and if they do, they'll send you a non-Thundercracker replacement. Further, they really aren't in charge of the QC like you might think, but I do agree that they could stand to tighten a few nuts and bolts.

Honestly not THAT mad...just wanted to get it out. I already sent BBTS an email with pictures explaining the problem so hopefully they haven't slod out of Thundercrackers by now. I apologize if I sounded irate about this....really wasn't, just wanted to get this out in the open. Sorry if I seem like I have some anger issues.

These things aren't all that uncommon. The scary thing is buying these figures MISB on the secondary market a couple years down the line. How much would it suck to pay inflated prices for a figure with QC issues and there not being much you can do about it? I mean, is it even the seller's responsibility? I know most businesses would fix the issue, but what about eBay and the like? They sold you a MOSC/MISB figure and that's what you received...are they on the hook for the manufacturer's mistake? I dunno, I can see both sides of the dispute. And how many messed up figures do you suppose a MISB collector has in their collection? I suppose it doesn't matter to them, though, as they'll never know.

I'm just glad none of my figs (so far) have been messed up when I ended up opening them a year or more later (repaints and such I was in no hurry to open and/or debated for a while whether to open.)

I would hate for that to happen. Jeesh I didn't think about that!

I bought a Thrust from a retailer that had two right forearms...

So I exchanged him for another on at the same store. The paint job wasn't as good, but at least his hands folded the right way!!!

Yeah, but that landing gear, while up (does anybody ever actually put it down? I don't!) makes the fan/intakes of his chest (pecs?) look cartoon correct, and normal... if the toy was missing one, it would look a touch awkward having only one and not the other, IMHO.

To the OP: I would look into exchanging it, and if that was not possible, then I would just be happy with it. But you do have a right to be annoyed, regardless of how some people are giving you flak for it.

Thank you Strider, finally somebody understands that I'm not gonna wage a ho9l war agianst HASBRO or BBTS, I'm just annoyed. As I've said I've already contacted BBTS about this and somebody should be getting back to me today. Sorry if I've upset anybody with my venting.

Protip: Getting upset on a Transformers message board is like blood in the water to Sharkticons. No matter what, the board legions won't understand your emotional inflections, and they will interpret whatever you say as some nerdy guy absolutely freaking out.

That said, BBTS customer service is awesome. You'll get your part in no time :D

Well it will throw off the look of the toy in the chest area...totally understandable. Not to go crazy but I understand.

I have had QC issues with Hasbro, Takara and Bandai. Hasbro I got with the Sam's Club Yellow Fire Convoy, and with Powerlinx Armada Prime. They had horrible plastic and badd apps. Prats would not fit right because the plastic was off.

Got a few problems with some RID/Carrobots figures a MIB Mach Alert had a missing door???

Bandai I got bad plastic on a few model kits I bought from China, and those were never resolved. The quality of the plasi was bad on some 1/144 high Grade kits I bought. and they weren't KO's just a bad run. I had it happen from a comic shop I used to buy model kits from over a decade ago.

bad QC is Bad QC. Always go for a replacement if you can.

BBTS is good or helping you out with that. I had it happen with my SoC Rodimus having paint issues.

If I got a fig for $8 on salefrom TRU and it was messed up,I'd want it replaced...even if it was "just a landing gear." If I bought the same fig for $17 + shipping I'd especially want it replaced. That stuff would just drive me nuts everytime I looked at it.

Last time I checked Classics Starscream and Skywarp didn't come with a landing gear and it didn't throw off the chest plate one bit, unless you mean those two back wheels, that look like fans, otherwise I can see the pain.

They don't really look like landing gear when they are down in Jet mode, but when you turn him into robot mode and tuck them into his chest you can tell how different it looks when he does or does not have them. It's pretty noticable.

Yeah, the "landing gear" is/are the fans. It's kinda dumb landing gear, but that's what it's identified as. I don't ever move them into the "down" position, but I'm glad they are there, because without those fans, (or at least without one) the toy would look odd.
