At least Arcee's in the running this year.

But yeah, I expect another Beast Wars win.

Why is it always 3 G1ers and 1 Beast Wars? Not enough people like Hot Shot, Sky Byte, Barricade?

=P~ Come BW Megatron!!!

Everyone has there favorite Transformer & every one of them will diverse to win this honor. There will always be the G1 fans vs the Beast fans. This election could go in either one's favor. "So for now let the battle be here on this strange primitive world, and let it be called BEAST WARS!"

Unfortunately they got no source for that, but I severely doubt Hasbro would just "forget" to include what is without doubt the best known/received Megatron (after the G1 one) along with the other Megatrons' video/display/etc..

You guys do realize that these are just the top five votes of the Seibertron.com poll and NOT the five Fan's choice nominees to be voted for in the final round on Hasbro.com, right?

Yes...but it looks like Lame Wars Megatron is still a top vote getter elsewhere, too. So unless Hasbro pulls the fast one, he'll probably be the Least Wars representative that wins for reasons previously stated.

Well, he's obviously well liked and a good character and not "lame" or "least" if he got so many legitimate votes. ;)

...guess my musing that Prime fans would back Arcee and Animated fans Prowl fell upon deaf ears, eh?

Even if BW Megatron does make the ballot as the only Beast Wars character, he's far from a lock to win.

Dinobot and Waspinator may have won the last 2 years and they may have been the only BW characters each year, but you're forgetting one huge factor in their wins...

That unfortunate part of the fanbase known as "Scott McNeill fangirls"

Definitely. That's the one I remember most. That and "Walk the Dinosaur" for Grimlock, "Final Countdown" for Shockwave, and "Holding Out for a Hero" for Jazz. The songs for Waspinator, Ratchet, and Soundwave escape me.

Soundwave: ???

Ratchet: ???

I recall it being Iron Man at the event itself, too, but if you're referring to the song on the youtube clip, that's definitely not Iron Man and I have no idea what it is. I tried Shazam-ing it and it came up empty.

Hey, if you were at BotCon last year, did we meet? If so, I have a bad memory and if not, you really need to meet up me and the rest of the gang this year if you're going.

They cannot use the music 'officially' without paying the song's artist royalties, or at the very least, writing to ask permission. They made a big deal about that at the first Botcon HOF awards dinner, partly due to music I am sure, and partly due to using Paramount's movie clips.

I assume what's on the youtube video is general, non-descript music that they don't have to worry about copyrights on.

Unfortunately I didn't really meet any of the Seibertron crew last year. The meet-up didn't get its usual hype and planning of previous years. :( I made a couple passes around the bar where the 'acoustic' version of the meet-up was supposed to go down and didn't see anything that hinted to being a Seibertron gathering. Shoulda made the trip this year instead, but the funds aren't as readily available after buying a second house and having a child. And to be honest, while I did enjoy myself, I didn't find it quite worth the price of admission...the plane ticket, hotel, food and drink, all on top of the spendy figs. I'm sure I'd feel differently had I had the 'full' experience, but as it is, I'll probably wait till it's driving distance or the set is can't miss before attending another. Was hoping it was going to be Chicago this year as that is driving distance from me and I have family in the suburbs.

You've got it all wrong. Those were not the songs played during the Hall of Fame, and that is not Waspinator's entry video (that's his winner video). The Hall of Fame videos played real songs, while the ones uploaded to YouTube replaced them all with generic, non-copyrighted music.

Since Waspinator won, he had two videos. One showing him being awesome (which had a song playing that I can't remember), and one showing him humorously fail (this one, which played "The Touch").

So, for Ironhide, the Hall of Fame played Black Sabbath's "Iron Man" for his video, but the YouTube one replaced it with generic music.
