Try heading back across the border with that one. Could you make it through? Most likely, but on the off chance that you don't...not worth it.
I know you're semi-kidding around, but it worries me...is anyone actually stupid enough to really pull this?
I certainly wouldn't want to be the one who tries...by no means.

Getting it across the border from Canada to the US in Bot mode wouldn't be hard at all, hell you could have it sitting in the passenger seat and I doubt they'd take a second look.

Er, no, Hasbro does blow, post Beast Wars anyway, look at the rarity of end of the line figures for a great example, and ofcourse, Jetfire.Autobot032 wrote:I'm so sick and tired of hearing Hasblo, and Hasbro sux, etc.
It's a pathetic sentiment. Grow up.
If it wasn't for Hasbro, we wouldn't be here, and while we may not agree with all of their tactics, we do have to admit that if it wasn't for their bringing the molds here, we wouldn't have TFs.
How quickly people forget what they've done for us, and how much it outweighs the bad.
I hate to treat grown adults like children, but when they act as stupidly selfish as this, it's well deserved.
Apparently each and every one of you believes you're above the law? *BUZZ* WRONG.
Hasbro is following the law, and so should you.

On subject, I bet it's A) They don't want anyone being an idiot with it and blame them for is being realistic and B) Capped one will be an Western release, in japanese packaging, with an inflated price.

I don't think Hasbro blows. They put out far more figures than does Takara. The rarity of end of the line figures isn't their fault really, that's a problem with the retailers for under-purchasing the end of the line figures. Jetfire is widely available. Again, this might be a problem with the retailers or with distribution. The stores here in Chicago have plenty of Jetfires which I have seen at many other stores during the past two months. It might have more to do with a problem with stores in your particular area.

For those who don't know why:
Take the classics Magnus and Skywarp 2-pac as an example.
US price = $20 IIRC.
UK price has been given as £30 which is about $60.
I rest my case.

While I agree with the general sentiment regarding the anti-Hasbro nonsense, I don't see this as 'following the law'. Not releasing the figure stateside without an affixed blaze-orange cap would be following the law. Hasbro making an effort to prevent importation of product by a secondary company seems more like using the law to flex their muscle.
