I don't think that would really be practical. I mean I just saw on emgo's Youtube channel, someone did a 3D Printed "human scale" version of Optimus Prime's iconic rifle, other than that, and perhaps Megatron's Canon, I don't think such large novelties would really sell. I certainly don't think Haslab would be the place to drop them either. Avengers and other superheroes have iconic weapons and accessories for sure. Even novelty helmets and masks for Transformers are pretty niche, or are more affordable priced for kids. Not really the thing you would make a Haslab for.

Considering again, the least expensive Haslab has been $150 for the Heroquest game, I would be shocked it if was something less expensive than this.

2 CC toys (speculating Star Saber and Victory Leo) would range anywhere from $170-$200. That is a decent start, and I'd be ok if that was all it was. But if it was revealed to contain multiple characters for a correspondingly fair higher price point, I'd be ok with that as well.

They don't have to stick to size classes as such (price points really) with haslab sk saying cc sized isn't ideal. Star Saber will probably have more plastic in him than if be was sold at Jetfires/sky lynx/Rodimus price. Kinda the fun with haslab, they don't have to worry too much about things that would restrict retail choices.

Downside: you just have to hope people want it as much as you do. (But either way, Hasbro will see it as a win-win for them)

I agree that they are not beholden to a specific style/class. however, the only reason why I keep mentioning CC, is because otherwise if it is too well developed, then of course, all the MP comparisons start coming. I am not a MP collector, however a LOT of folks would probably be disappointed with the exorbitant amount they paid for an MP Star Saber a few years back.

I may be the only one here, but I would love this to have some optional parts to make Star Saber look more like his IDW part. Also, I am hoping that this is a 3 pack: Star Saber, the guy that combines with Star Saber, Deathsaurus. Costing around $200-250. All with parts to make them look like there cooler IDW designs.

200 sounds super low. Looking at the kind of projects they do to make up the lack of scaled production work, I'd expect at least 300$

I would also like this. I liked him in IDW, I'd like some bonus parts.

I personally made the goal for myself to not back it unless it comes with Victory Leo, and if for some reason Victory Leo is a stretch goal instead of in the regular package, I will wait until it hits that stretch goal to back it. I don't see how Star Saber is worth it alone

I will not spend more than $150 for a Star Saber all on his own no matter what. If I wanted to spend more, I'd go for the 3P IDW one or the MP on the secondary market. I've passed up 2 this year alone for under $175 shipped.

If they give us Victory Leo, and they make the base Star Saber at least 13" tall, I could justify up to $250. But if they go above $250, I will almost certainly pass unless he is even bigger or there is a 3rd bot.

It's been a while since I read the IDW comics. Although I believe IDW Star Saber to be a bastardization, I don't recall his physical appearance to be any different, at least not different enough to need different parts?

The IDW version is very different from the G1 version. A new head/mask, shoulder parts, weapons, and chest plate would at very least be needed. Also just because the IDW one is not the G1 version, does not make him any worse. To some, me, it actually made him palatable and not just a gundam thrown into the TF universe.

Though I think Victory Leo or a Brainmaster figure are the most likely stretch goals, they certainly could do swap-out accessories as an incentive.

Though all of the other HasLab products have been $300+, I think it's possible that this one could be lower. Crowdfunding is not only used for expensive items, it can also be used to better gauge demand before starting the production run so that it's more cost-effective. Mattel Creations isn't equivalent, but it's comparable, and they routinely release smaller quantities of lower cost items.

Gundam's are lifeless Robots. Star Saber was a Valiant Hero. But I understand there are many people that enjoy IDW. It was one of the things that made me dislike it however. Some people see the characters as growing/changing. However, when a character deviates from a firmly established identity, that's not growth IMO, that is regression. Saying "Hey lest take this character and make him a Psychotic zealot for...reasons..." Is not creative. I mean people have enough issues with Bayverse Prime being a rage filled murderer, and I understand why.

While certainly possible, I think it's best we think of it as a happy surprise if that happens but plan accordingly to the more habitual prices.

I'll be dead honest, as with Unicron I just don't have the money for a toy above $300 so I am bowing out of this one preemptively.

I hope it is reasonable, because honestly there's no way on gods green earth that they could justify the price otherwise (the only exception for me would be if he was combiner ready and came with victory leo) when the figure will just end up being a figure that could have been done at commander class >:oP
I am not a G1 fan, please treat my opinions as such.

Even with Victory leo that would be 160 for 2 commander class figures. I ain't paying double that.

$300 is about my "not for me" price as well, depending on what it ends up being. $300 for a single figure is probably a no, but for a set of figures, then that would depend on the figures.

I'm thinking for Haslab, you forget the normal size classes and prices. Keep in mind the size/price classes are based on normal retail or exclusive number of production. If Haslab has less numbers, then the price would be higher right from the start. Also if they stick to normal size classes, then there really isn't much of a point in making them Haslab offerings.

On the flip side, making a single figure so impressive and detailed also doesn't make much sense since that is basically the MP line. I know Takara does MP and Haslab is Hasbro, but Takara designers are involved, so I can't see the Haslab offering being something that could have simply be done for the MP line either.

I think instead we'll get something in between a normal commander and normal MP if it is a single figure. Or a set of Victory figures at the normal classes (commander/leader).

Lets say they end up offering Starsabre, Victory Leo and Deathsaurus at $300, hell even $400. I would probably bite on this more than a really nice Starsabre for $200. With a set, you know that those 3 figures are not going to see the light of day again for years. FOMO increases exponentially over just a single figure.

In the end, I'm guessing it will end up being a really nice figure that is just a bit too much for my budget.

I promise you that Victory Leo will not be stretch goal, he'll either come with him or he wont. The two are pretty close to the same size, making Leo a stretch goal would be like if the Sentinel had a stretch goal of getting a bonus free Sentinel or the Razor Crest having a stretch goal of a free Slave 1. Stretch goals are always accessories, optional parts or much smaller figures. Most likely Star Saber's stretch goals would be things like his shield, some extra parts, probably Jan and Patty (and maybe even Solon) as static figures, I wouldn't expect much else.

Galactus reached its funding goal (14K) with about 5 dys left. It had a stretch goal of 16K to get an additional Nova Marvel Legends Action Figure (those retail for what? About $20?). I was skeptical it would happen, but it did in about a day!

I understand with Unicron, basically stretch goals were more detailed accessories. I would hope with any Victory Haslab, instead of accessories, or static human characters, as stretch goal perhaps could be some Micromasters? I mean I think most of the Rescue Patrol got released in Siege/ER ? But Holi (Stakeout) was miscolored in the Victory Anime, they could release an anime accurate version of him ;). Were there any other Micromasters featured in Victory that didn't get a release in Siege/ER? Heck even take the existing CW Helicopter and retool it as Deathcobra.

Victory Saber(Star Saber & Victory Leo) $180. Basically 2 CC. 11K backers, seems reasonable. I can certainly back that. Awesome ;)^

There is a 2nd tier for 17K, and a 3rd tier for 20K which are hidden at this time... :-?

*edit* Tier 1 Unlock is a Giant Cannon & some Blast Effects.

...and the live chat is losing it's *blank* because that's all there was  (no more reveals)

Seriously though, this is something I've wanted for a VERY long time. I really hope it gets funded. I'm not even going to sweat the stretch goals. I just want the characters, and they seem to be well developed.

It may have the price and engineering complexity of two Commander Class figures, but it's not of comparable size. I think that's misleading enough to be more harmful than helpful as a description.

I'd argue that Rodimus Prime already took us down that path on its own. In fact, tying a specific size to the class is going to lead to more confusion because of the direction Hasbro is going.

Kind of like Kingdom Rodimus Prime...

My point being, size classes are not useful descriptors of anything but the price to consumers. I don't think there's any point in translating the HasLab product type into a size class. The figure size and engineering are in the video. It's not a Masterpiece, it's not a Titan or two Commanders, it's its own thing.

Motto: "Why are yoo runnin'? WHY are yoo runnin'?"
Weapon: Twin Shoulder-Mounted Rocket Launchers
So, ten minutes of a waiting screen, twenty minutes of Victory Saber, then about a minute of clips from Victory and a slideshow of the prototype models.

Seriously, Kingdom wave 4 was leaked months ago, it's been four months since wave 3 was revealed, the brand team has had multiple opportunities to announce the last few things for Kingdom and they keep choosing not to. They don't even reveal full waves during these things!
