have you ever gotten ignored by action-hq???!!!

Postby Altertron » Wed Jul 25, 2007 8:05 am

i've been asking questions to the people at action-hq about my order, because it is backorder one. they had respond to my every question since last week. but now they completely ignore my emails this week. so is that a hint they're unable to process my order for some unknown reason but can't tell me, because they still want to keep this deal.

Are you asking questions everyday?

I'd ignore you too if you were. That's kind of crazy...

yeah, because i'm a very frantic person. i know my words and my actions may annoy people. because i want absolute answers like i'm sorry you can't get the thing anymore or you will get it in 4 weeks. i want those type of answers, but i understand in their position that they don't want to give an guarantee because i will come after them and sue them too!!!

Stop badgering them. Either cancel your order or wait it out.

I'd have stopped responding to you to!

They are not a scam. They have been around a long time and are not going to quit their business, pack it up and run off with your money. You need to be patient. Bugging them everyday is not going to get you anywhere. Concentrate you efforts on locating what you want somewhere else if your life is so dependent on getting your purchase sooner.

i'm ashamed and sorry for my action. i will stop bugging them. but have any of you guys bought a figure from them, if yes, how would you rate their service? full stars will be 5 by the way.

Good lord dude, calm down. Did you ever think that maybe they don't know for sure either? I know you want an answer, but you just have to wait. I can't say that I blame them for ignoring you if you are emailing them everyday. They do have other customers to take care of as well, and that is a little crazy that you email them so much.

this will be my final response to this thread in the forum.
when is the best time to email them back if i waited patiently for more than 3 weeks, still haven't receive my order yet, can i email them for asking what's taking it so long!!! btw i will be back and live on campus this september, that means i can't sign and receive the package then in person.
so just tell me what's the reasonable time to email them again for the order.

Postby Geekee1 » Wed Jul 25, 2007 9:13 am

A couple of weeks seems fine to me. Just don't badger them. When I worked in retail *shudder* the quickest way for me to ignore you was by badgering me. Now I genuinely understand your concern for not being able to sign for your package. If you do end up having to contact them again mention that in your email. They may be able to help you out on that.

what should i say in the subject title to make them feel that answering my question this time is worthy. cuz i'm afraid they'll ignore my questions then, and unable to cancel my order when i'm about to heading back in class.
do you think waiting more than a month for an order is acceptable or unacceptable?

you're gonna jinx yourself out of this toy.
shame on you.
all these threads, and all this time to get the mp-04, and you're gonna badger them so they aren't gonna sell you the toy.

I had to re-send e-mails a couple times. It´s been a while since I last bought from them, though, but they always came through in the end.

sorry about me going back to this thread, it will really take my mind at ease if someone can tell me that he or she DID actually received a package over 3 weeks and it is normal to wait that long.

Postby waaaaghlord » Wed Jul 25, 2007 1:55 pm

Allerton, fact of the matter here is that it's a back order. When you place a preorder or a back order it simply isn't going to be processed until your supplier can physically get hold of the stock. Sometimes they'll have a date that the items are expected in, sometimes they won't have been given a definite date by their own supplier. Sometimes the date will prove to be wrong anyway due to various reasons that are beyond their control.

As has been said above be patient and stop hassling them. Action HQ has been in the business a long time and aren't fly by nights. While I haven't used them personally as yet pretty much everything I hear about them is positive. Worst case scenario - if you haven't heard anything by the time you're due back on campus all you need to do is get in touch then and update your shipping address to your term time address. Failing that I presume that you're at your parents between semesters? Let it get sent there and if there's someone in when it arrives they can sign for it, if not they can pick it up from the local depo.

Any which way this really isn't all that big of a deal. Try to calm down a little and only worry over the big things in life, no toys for goodness sake, and then realise that worrying still won't do you any good and if you can't do something to deal with a problem you just have to live with the problem. As frantic as you sound over this you're liable to give yourself a stroke by the time you hit your thirties. Think about that for a moment, seriously, and it might give you a little perspective.

If this has come across as really lecturing and preachy please don't take offense. I don't make a habit of wondering around these boards handing out sermons on how to live your life to all and sundry, but some of what I've read above has really quite concerned me and in this instance I thought that a little level headed advice might not go amiss. Peace man.

I'm not going to pick on you, I will say you're going overboard with the emails though.

Anyway, you have to look at it this way...

1.) It's coming from Hong Kong (or Singapore. I forget which.)

2.) It has to clear their customs.

3.) It has to clear Canadian customs. (Which takes quite a while from what I've heard.)

4.) The Canadian Postal Service is considered to be one of the slowest services. (I've heard about it time and again on TFW, etc.)

It took me 18 days to receive a 3-pack of Voyagers from China, and most of that time was spent in customs.

It's going to take time, but you'll receive it, or your money back. Don't worry.

I would, however, offer this piece of advice for the future....try and order from a US or Canadian seller (such as A3U) before going with an Asian seller. That's not to say that Asian sellers aren't trustworthy or anything (quite the opposite in fact), but the time it takes to complete a transaction is considerably ridiculous, due to customs and travel time.

If you've got a tracking number, track the item.

If you haven't, politely ask for the number (don't badger.)

If you receive neither (email or tracking) then you might want to consider filing a report with PayPal before the 30 days is up. (But I'm talking like the very final week of those 30 days.)

If you didn't pay for tracking, then the blame rests solely on your shoulders. Once it's out of AH-Q's hands and in transit, it's up to the postal carriers to do their job. While tracking doesn't guarantee delivery, but it does help because the carriers know you're watching them or someone is.

You just have to relax. I thought I was a worrywart.

you're right waaaaghlord, i feel like a drug addict on transformers, and i felt like an ass and felt extremely ashamed. i guess there's nothing i can do to make the delivery any sooner by acting all crazy. on second thought if they're unable to process my order, then i get to keep my money and buy other stuff, HURAYYY!!!

If the place your package is supposed to arive is at your parents' house, and your parents live there, just let them know they should expect a package and they might have to sign for it, just in case you are not there when it arrives. I have to do almost this same thing, I will have to tell my mother that I am expecting a package from Action HQ and they like people to sign for their package. It is possible I will be at work when it arrives, and so she would have to know.

It is very likely the people at Action HQ also stress out a bit when a due shipment of figures fails to arrive, as they risk people canceling their orders, not wanting to order from them again, and ultimately losing buisiness to their competitors. Jerking around customers is very bad for buisiness. So you will very likely get your figure.

Yes I did. They never failed me on that. The downside to AHQ is that they don´t (or didn´t, haven´t checked in a while) an account system like HLJ where you can modify your orders until the very point they get shipped so you have to inquire there. Response time used to be not that great, but like I said, they always came through with my orders.

action hq have a strict policy about signing packages, if my parents to be at home when the package arrives, fine they can sign it, but most of the they're not at home. therefore they have to pick it up in a postal office. that's when my parents can't sign it, because it had to be me, the one who orders it and sign it.

chill out. I have ordered from them and have had no issues. My only complaint is that there packing isnt "the best" however it does effectively get the job done.
