Headmaster/Titanmaster issues (the head parts mainly) but also other factors

No head or to be exact, the Hm/Tm molds, are made from the same mold (d'uh) 8-} . On some issues on the Hb Tm, I am relying on anecdotal I've read here and other TF sites.

From what I've read, the following problem Tr heads are from

1. Scourge
2. Highbrow
3. Blaster
4. Skullcruncher
5. Mindwipe

On what I own TL

1. Highbrow
2. Twincast
3. Scourge

Please add if I missed some molds (The individual heads I own, Fangry and Repugnus) aren't that problematic yet.

I checked the molds on the TL side (please add feedback if you also noticed the same descriptions I have on the Hb versions)

Scourge,Highbrow, Skull and Wipe all share a similar "master" molds (i.e. the homonculi part of the mold). The connecting part on their thighs don't have a metal pin to keep it in place. It relies on two very minute pegs to keep them in place.

Why didn't Takara or Hb use a uniform material design? Adding a pin costly on some molds? Are these issues universally widespread? Or just on us noisy posters?

The other molds I didn't mention have metal pins. Coincidentally, I haven't read of issues with the latter head types (Wolf, Chromedome,Brainstorm,Hardhead,Blurr,Fortress,Megatron,SW,Twincast,Ginrai).

Could it be Clearance. Friction. ABS/PVC thickness. ETC. or maybe the whole confluence of factors that are the reason for having a stable or wobbly heads?

Scourge and Highbrow. On the former, it isn't nearly that bad as the latter. Though for the latter, even the connecting port design exacerbates the issue worst.

In my Broadcast, the shape of Twincast's head has some clearance issues when connecting the clamp to the tiny head. So it's the head poseability that is the culprit. Same with Broadside's Blunderbuss. The connecting part is a bit wobbly. You need to put up those two ear pegs to make it stable.

Care to share your experiences?

Are you turning the head on the titanmaster the correct way for the port in the neck?

As Takara actually put warning in the boxes to tell you to make sure you do that or you might snap the head off.

The only issue I've had is with Highbrow and that is only that his head sits a little high due to the clip being needed to secure the helicopter cabin in Helicopter mode.

As for the clip on legs - I just nail polish them.

My (pedantic) issue is Galvatron, something you all expected no doubt. I've read the head connection on most is too strong, thankfully I have no such issue... probably because the clamps are uneven. Let me explain: the left one has a smaller "gripper" compared to the right and it also has a clear mark where it was attached to the mold tree on top.
I don't how it happened, or if its actually damaged, and it's driving me batty. Also, his cannon have what appear to be break marks on the back piece, as if there were supposed to be tabs to lock it into place. It's tight and I have no functional problems (I suspect the supposed tabs would have in fact been problematic given the fit).
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

- Jelze Bunnycat =:3

Looking for:
- TR Furos (Hardhead's head) and Crashbash (lost him :()
- PotP Punch head
- TR Galvatron right arm (the gun one)
- CW Brake-Neck/UW Wildrider, CW Offroad
- TR Twinferno & Grotusque
- Greenlight, Lancer and PotP Elita-1 (plus repro Victorion hands and feet?)

Takara's tip is indeed useful. But we already got the idea with those two grooves on the Headmasters' neck.

I don't jam the heads directly but start by tilting the head 30 to 45 degrees into the clamp then slowly slide them. In Twincast's case, the tiny head during insertion has the tendency to turn to the right and not stay facing forward. It takes at least more than one try when connecting the head.

What's weird btw, in my Soundwave's package, the extra how to insert the head flyer is not included.

Most of mine work fine as heads, just the about 50/50 need the little guy's head turned around 180 from his robot mode. If he's no good facing one way, try the other and it usually works.

Highbrow is the one exception I've encountered. Never very well fitting, it seems on this one, it's slightly better with the little guy facing right or left, rather than front or back, but no directly is really as good as the others.

Just got Astrotrain. Seems this mold has the no pins in the thighs version. Got some issue too with the head clamp's tightness.
