BAAAAAWWWWWW!!!

Whatever.

Ive seen at least 4 con v maxi missions so far so they are out there. We might have to turn up the frequency a bit, but we're hardly going to rush it if all you do is bitch.

Besides, when the new brackets start coming into affect in the next few days, it should level out again.

I'm sorry. It seems that we're considered whining because we're not kissing ass saying how great it is to finally have something done that we'd asked for months ago when it would have made more of a difference. Back when Rat Convoy and Starlock several other Maximal commanders were playing more. This is probably the worst I've ever seen this board honestly. And before someone says "He's whining" or "groaning" those things require negative emotions. If anything, I'm slightly up on a neutral side of nothing. Not quite happy, but far from sad or angry. But just because we don't agree with you, or think that this is a perfect fix, doesn't mean we're whining. It means we have a different opinion then you, and it doesn't give you the right to try to bully or insult us just because we don't agree with you or feel we should kiss your ass.

Now, again, this is a good start at solving the problems with the beast faction missions, but it's only a start. If you're done collectively patting yourselves on the back, would you care to discuss further potential fixes?

After signing up for |Cons post reset i did ask OS if i could change to Preds. I enjoyed my time there guys ty. I think the changes are going to benefit you a lot, but there will always be those who can play more with a good initial set up and regular back up who trades life for Seibertron.com's Heavy Metal War!

OK, calm down AZ, I think Psych was mainly commenting about name_violation's whingings. And if he wasnt, he should go back and actully read the rest of the pred posts, cuase we weren't whinging.

In either case, I cant say im getting much more xp in the actual missions, but I've had no deaths since the change, which means I'm gaining more xp per hour, through having 6 tfs on the go at all times.

I think we'll all have a better idea of the actual improvments/downsides of this change after a week or so, once all the verious different activity periods have been seen.

Man! Just when I was getting used to my high protein low-carb Pred diet.

I'll admit, Preds are like bugs. Distasteful it may be to mingle with them, pound for pound there's nothing more efficient to mangle.

sorry initial frustrstion gets the better of me

so fefe's right, we should wait to see how this plays out

and az had a point, we should be CONSTRUCTIVE about this.
is there any way to make the spawning of missions proportunal to people playing? i.e. if only a few maxi's online, we get more non maxi missions

or can we just tweak the rate of mission spawning.

In all fairness we did ask for more beast on beast action #-o , but we do like the chewtoys:P

I am calm. I'm not angry, I'm maybe a little fustrated, but I'm far from being upset. And I don't want to be dead today. I'm am merely commenting on the way things are. That's why I said several times that this is a start, and they're trying, but what else needs to be done, I'm just getting tired of seeing anyone who disagrees getting lamblasted.

Maybe the maximals will come back and the faction will rebound, but right now, as it stands, we've traded three factions beating down on the maximals and the gen 1ers beating down on the Preds for the Preds beating down on the Maximals. The Maximals are in a bad way right now. What needs to be done to help them?

No one's asked for ass kissing, and yeah, you're more than entitled to speak your mind.

Yeah, you're entitled to your opinion, but could you at least have given it a DAY (preferably a week actually) before you started with the negativity?

It SHOULD have been done months ago, no one's going to argue that, but it wasn't. It was done now. And within the space of a few hours of it being done we get people coming out and criticising it.

I'm all for people speaking up and voicing their concerns, but give it a bloody go before getting up on your high horse and bitching about things. At least give it a goddamn chance!

Suggestions are always welcome. Patronising isn't.

Lets not have a fight in here. AZ said his piece, lets leave it at that, I'm not going to rise to it.

Name_Violation wrote:is there any way to make the spawning of missions proportunal to people playing? i.e. if only a few maxi's online, we get more non maxi missions

Well, it kinda already is.
Pred or Max missions now only appear when one of you guys is active and viewing the mission screen.

Now its a matter of balancing the G1 v BW and the BW v BW missions against each other to get them to spawn logically - they only take 1 faction into account when spawning on a weighting scale that can only be guestimated, but the BW v BW missions currently have priority as they were the ones requested.

Ill see if I can get OS to tweak it slightly and lower the v BW ones to the same level as the v G1's so you should have an even chance of activating against any of the factions.

This will always be trial and error, patience is required.

From what I have gathered talking to people on the boards Burn, I'm one of the few people who liked you before you became a mod. That doesn't mean I dislike you now, just that I'm begining to understand some people's problems with you, so please don't think I'm trying to start a fight with you.

Now, I am more then willing to give this a chance, and I hope it works, however, there has been a complete lack of Maximal activity in missions for a while now. If checking on the boards for feedback instead of just making the changes had been done, I think that would have been a big help. Because honestly, as it stands, the Maximals are in a sorry state and really need some back up. They need some active commanders. Is there any chance of allowing some switches, or does Bush 2 have a better chance of being declared a humanitarian?

errrrr dude, it was based on forum feedback. The way Psychout put forward his case to OS it seemed to me he'd pretty much been trawling the boards looking for said feedback.

Is there any chance of allowing some switches,

Probably have to get back to you on that one. I suspect however the answer might be "it might not be worth it with HMW2 rolling out soon".

Personally, I think it is a necessity to pull off Endgame successfully.

But yeah, like I said, wait and see. We got it newsified so hopefully some of the more inactive players will see it and come back.
"If you news it, they will come"
Okay that was bad.

Con v Pred - worth the loss (1.5x base XP), logical outcome given participants, everyone was rather bloodied even if they survived

If 4v4 G1vBeast continue to proceed along these lines, I'd advocate increasing their frequency. Everything else has been otherwise said.... I think.

The only problem is actually with me. When I'm down and depressed, your normal arseness combined with your modship comes across to me in my low mood where everyone hates me anyway as you're taking a giant combat boot and trying to stomp out anyone who doesn't agree with you. I reconize the problem is me though, which is why I took time off from the boards.

I don't think the lack of Maximals playing the game was ever brought up in feedback. They have more commanders then the Preds by 2:1, but we're more active then them by 7:1. They need active commanders.

I remember when Seibs did the switch from Bot to Con. 20+ commanders switched, took what? An hour or two? Find out who's willing to switch. Hell, I'd join the Maximals now if I could since they really need the help. All it would take is a thread up, wouldn;t even have to be up for more then a day. People sign up, switch over. Once you know who wants to switch, it makes it faster and easier.

Been there, experienced that.

I'm not going to tell you what you need to do to deal with it because quite frankly, when it comes to depression, everybody's different. What works for one isn't going to work for another.

But believe me, recognising it yourself is a big plus.

If it doesn't, then yeah, we'll definitely have to look into swapping some folks over otherwise it's really going to screw up anything we do for Endgame.

Even if they do, we're still going to need to get some commanders over to the beasties to make it a more fair fight.

I have yet to see a 4v4 against G1 factions, have gotten about maybe 18 Pred missions since this has started this evening.

I would agree to maybe see if increasing the chance to spawn BWvG1 missions at a slightly higher rate. I did ask for BWvBW missions, but it's slightly higher of an occurance than i thought it would be. I will say it's a great start, hopefully when the new missions are put in this will even out just a little bit more.

Thanks again Psychout and thank you OS.
