OK, so I feel completely stupid, but I have a TON of custom Transformer work to post and I cannot, for the life of me, figure out this posting system. Why do the buttons appear as text until preview (even the bold and italic)? Are they supposed to be that way? Since everything pops up as text, I'm completely guessing which button tabs do what. I'm assuming that Img is image, but when I attempted to post a photo, it just appeared as text in the preview. Could someone kindly explain this to me? I've got LOTS of cool custom work to share if I can just figure this thing out. lol

When you write a post, you're using BBCode, which is why you only see text.

To post an image with the IMG tags you need an image URL such as http://www.seibertron.com/images/factio ... eckers.png.

What you want to do is include that URL between [ img ] and [ / img ] (with no spaces) to obtain this: .

The faster ways are to either click the IMG tag button and paste the URL between the two, or paste the URL, highlight it, and then click on the IMG button.


To obtain an image URL, use one of the online free image host websites, like Photobucket, Imgur or Imageshack (or even Flickr, but make sure privacy settings allow everyone to view the image, or it won't work).


Alternatively, you can also attach the images by selecting the Upload Attachment tab under the Preview and Submit buttons on the posting editor.

OK, well I tried what you said, using Flickr (with the pictures marked for anyone to be able to see them). But after making a post, all images showed up in the official post (not just preview) as text saying "Image".

Try using something other than Flickr, then.

I don't use it, so I'm not sure if it's a personal settings thing or it just won't work at all.

Same thing happened with Photobucket. Just the word "Image" where the picture should be.

That is odd.

With Photobucket, you can simply click on the right-hand-side link window, and it copied the correct coding for BBCode posts. That's how I do it!

OK now it works. I didn't see the links on the side so I was just copying/pasting the address bar into my post. Thank you for all your help.
