How to create holes for inserting pins?

I'm working on a kitbash and was wondering how I would go about making holes in harder plastics that are small enough for pins.

In the past I used a nail or similar small, pointed object, but for some harder plastics, especially those whose parts are round in shape, it can be too difficult to hold the piece still while trying to hammer a small nail into it (I like my fingers and don't desire to smash them :P).

Any tips/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

It's a bit expensive, but get a Dremel and the accessory kit. Beyond drilling holes, you'll also find it useful for cutting, shaping and sanding.

Thanks, I have a Dremel, but the drill bits I have aren't nearly tiny enough to accomodate pins. I guess it's time to buy some more bits.

Thanks for the tip :).
