Meh.

Right now I'm thinking of getting Nemean just so I can steal the combined head and cannons for Feral Rex. If they fit. :-?

Those cannons are freaking sweet, but I'm not sure Nemean is worth the price. There's a chance, however slim, that another 3rd Party will put out nice big cannons for Rex.

Not buying these was a tough call for me.

This is largely why.

For me TFC & MMC are the best out there.

I don't like the cannons myself i didn't from the first time i saw them hanging off RC shoulders they do how ever look decent on the beast mode not that i favor rex in that department either but i can see an upgrade for ferals cannons on the horizon .

Perhaps. As you said, Rex's cannons look good in bot/beast mode, just not in combined mode.

However, the more we see of Nemean, the more those cannons seem very similar to Bruticus' cannons, which is also a negative in my book.

I guess there isn't much use commenting until Leo Dux is in hand, and once we have comparison shots between the two Razorclaws.

As good as he looks, gotta say, I'm a bigger fan of Feral Rex's greater bulk and more closely sized beast modes.

And the difference in bot sizes is also a huge bummer. It's as if they noticed the feedback on Uranos' proportions, and decided to make the size between the torso and limb 'bots even greater, instead of trying to engineer the gestalt more creatively. Major points lost on that one.

I'm really impressed how Mastermind have been able to create such a well proportioned gestalt out of five 'bots who are so similar in size, while TFC has gone with four Predacons and a carrierzord.

Ares does look good. Real good infact. But Feral Rex is better.

I find the individual alt modes to be superior here, especially in the legs.

It is the overall combined mode, and keeping the team same-sized that kept me on team MMC, but MAN I like these designs.

In either case, TFC or MMC, there is a lot to enjoy.

You do realize that's a photoshop using the same pics of the Rhino and Lion and just mirrored to give us a bit of an idea of what it will look like? The arms aren't even attached here.

I kinda like this, but MMC has definitely won this.

Yes, I saw that Rhino and Lion are mirrored. And I do realize that, in addition to the arms, the legs don't seem to be attached either.

Did you realize that I was talking abut the 'look' of the legs in combined mode being incoherent? Because I'd rather not have the gestalt legs just look like a full frontal of the 'bot mode.

Hmmmmmmm I like it, I like my Predaking to be sleek and cut like a true predator. I think the monstrous proportions found on mmc's variant should have be reserved for a hulking titan like Abominus maybe. But that's just preference, you know how that goes.
