c/o echotransformer:
It's not out yet, but he's currently testing.
Hey guys,
Great news, my parts showed up really early and I'm really happy to be testing them out. As with any first version I have issues to fix, but overall I was able to get them installed and get a feel for where I need to improve the sculpt.
Most importantly, here are the pics!

The little tab in the middle of the chest wing is for a 5mm peg to install the wing in alt-mode...I may not keep it, it kinda gets in the way...maybe it will be better in black

I definitely want to improve the Brawl foot sculpt, and move to the new slipper design without the 'knee gun' and MUCH smaller gap. I want to make the foot a little thicker and shorter too...
Note that Swindle's foot isn't pegged in, I need to paint it first...

FOR THE FIRST TIME MY BRUTICUS IS HOLDING HIS GUN IN HIS LEFT HAND...WOO HOO!!!! (Bye-bye karate-chop stupid-hand)
No mods to Bruticus are needed
Tomorrow I will be working on the trailer and the alt-mode which also arrived with the parts. Expect more pictures soon.
All the best!

Wow, that's a lot better. Hope these get released with matching paint apps at some point.
This just goes to show what this set could have been if Hasbro would have put a little more thought into it.

I'm in the same boat as X and DevastaTTor on this one. I could really put this set to use on the upcoming Wreckers Ruination repaint provided it was sanded and painted and whatnot as a finished product. Sadly, I have no talent for this sort of thing so, if CrazyDevy or someone else doesn't pick up this design and market it to those inept at this sort of thing (like myself) it won't get as much love as it could.

Needs a bigger head too, but I like this concept. Keeping an eye on this...

This guy (Echotransformer) continues to impress me with his releases. I'm like some of you, with a lack of skill and history in prepping and painting a raw product but I really would like to get this set when it's ready.
Echo also has the G1 Predaking waist extender and tons of add-ons to Hercules, y'all should check it out. If I would've ordered the Predaking piece when I first saw it, I wouldn't be sitting here waiting for CD's release ("Estimated ships: Dec 2012" my exhaust pipe!).

this definitely improves the look no end. It must be really, really expensive though?

Looks sweet. Could just use a slightly bigger head. I wonder how this is going to look in vehicular mode...

It's a good idea but I'm not enthused. I got G2 Bruticus as-is and I'm ok with it. Fansproject is my real Bruticus anyways.

I wants me some of this, yes sir!!

This cool set would make me crack open FoC Bruticus from his plastic prison; just need a KO set of hands and feet for my RotF Bruticus or a Shapeways set like this one!
Nice!

It's already been done via shapeways.... Check this link out and look for "Brute" parts.

Why cant these shapeways guys just sell their idea to a real 3rd party company with the means to bring the product to the masses ? I have no interest in the multi-colored feet game look. I would happily take a set in dark grey and black for the G2 version.

Amen too that. Fakebuster83 has some WFC game accurate weapons like the magma frag launcher and the scrapmaker actually that look pretty cool. Black and dark grey would look pretty awesome on the G2 version

I must change my tune to this. If these were ever produced in G2 colours, I'd buy them.

Can someone who likes to sand and paint order like 100 sets and sell them to us finished ? I would gladly pay for someone to get the job done right. I dont see anyone matching the Takara metallic paints, but I would love a G2 version. I might even buy the Hasbro version if I could get someone to paint it like that...

Wow whoever designed these did an excellent great job...
My experience painting shapeways stuff has been pretty good so far....even though it has just been small weapons mostly. I noticed the non-smooth strong and flexible absorbs paint pretty well so you will have less scratches/chipping will be more durable...it will have a grain to it, but from far away its not too bad.

Anybody know what material the designer used?

It's a valiant effort, and one that is a definite improvement. But I'm still not thrilled by it, and I tend to avoid anything Shapeways.
