Our friends at IDW Limited have dropped by to let us now about a BotCon first, and maybe even exclusive: Limited Edition Blue and Black Label Hardcover Drift! The volume repackages the already printed Complete Drift, including the mini-series and the character's Spotlight, and come with all the extras we've come to know from the Limited series.

We're bringing a limited book to BotCon this weekend. One that'll be available there first. And maybe only there because we only made 65 books. 15 blue, 50 black, no red.

It's Drift. And it's bad-ass.

So this would be the reason why the preorder was put back from the 18th then. I was pretty dirty when I first read that this was going to be a Botcon exclusive. Because I'm not going and definitely wanted to pick it up. :BOOM:

It wasn't a Bot Con exclusive, just a premiere. We'll have it up on the site soon. Just need to re-organize and re-group after the convention.

For that kind of dough, especially for the Blue Label, we should get a highly articulated Leader Class version of him. I love me some Drift and snagging one of these sets would be like a wet dream come true but I'd sooner kiss Grimlocks shiny metal dino-butt than shell out that kind of money for something that doesn't even include an actual transforming figure.

The sets are a little pricey, yes.
Though they do include a lot of nice extras, from the lithos to the sketches, via the signatures. Still, not sure they ever justify the cost.. :-?

The IDW Limited Facebook page has uploaded some of the original Milne sketches included in the various copies.

(Not newsing it as they're pretty much all gone.)
