Wow I wasn’t expecting Onyx to be returning like this. I figured they were building up to power of the Primes event. Probably still are but I figured his return would be that event.

Transformers are vulnerable to magic? Uhm, why? Can we not have everything be brought into being because of Transformers? I thought G.I.Joe was their friggin' "Crown Jewel".

Why not? It's not like they make a habit of taking on sorcerers.

Cybertronians are just the heavy-armour class of the Hasbroverse JRPG

Interesting to see that First Strike is now being specifically marketed as a Transformers/GI Joe crossover. Consider the characters of ROM and Action Man aren't a part of the main story, there's only one (1) Micronauts character, and the MASK characters are just... there - seriously, why are they there? What is the point? - I'm really starting to feel like that's just what it should have been from the start.

Also, considering the focus on Windblade, Starscream and Cybertron as a whole; it's looking more and more like OP will be their home now that TAAO is ending.

Eyyy, we finally know what that Windblade trade is! ... and it's gonna be really friggin' weird to read, considering the first three issues of Windblade vol. 2 are just every second issue of a crossover. Hmm.

Like I said, why are the TFs the jump off point for everything now? There have to be better choices other than "These comics sell, cram them in there!"

We've had this discussion elsewhere on the boards, and I'm inclined to agree with you here. However, it's also true that the Transformers titles have a lot more traction (not necessarily sales wise, but by mere association with the word 'Transformers' than the other books), and it's a sensible strategy to have TFs be the linchpin of the universe - as it turns out to be the case in-story, too.

Because the Transformers are robots. Technology is the antithesis of magic.

Actually, more specifically, science is. Technology is just its spawn. But good point. Unfortunately, I see this now being the Cybertronian version of Kryptonite, which really really would suck. #Ireallyhatemagic

Seriously, that font for Transformers vs Visionaries looks like something I would have come up with in Middle School and would have thought it was so cool. There's no way that attracts anyone to want to pick up this comic! Bad marketing decision!

I'm just over IDW Hasbro stuff too many changes for the worse

MASK tanked and got cancelled, Visionaries just doesn't look very good...you make drastic political changes it fails everytime Marvel are feeling the sales burn and IDW/Hasbro don't seem to be learning either.

Going by the month to months orders the transformers books aren't very doing well either.

it seems that the poorly written billon $$ movies are keeping the comic dream a float.

Too be honest I think they need to get all new creative teams for the Transformers books LL is naff and OP is boring.

sorry rant over :michaelbay:
