Just in from Seibertron's own Podfather Scotty P is news that IDW's Transformers The Last Stand of the Wreckers will be officially released in Japanese via Amazon on July 31st.

Scott states "No cover yet but the official releases of IDW Transformers comics in Japanese continue with a backtrack (last book out was Chaos, wrapping up the Costa/"Ongoing" era) to Last Stand of the Wreckers on 7/31. Found this on Amazon Japan in my recommended stuff, probably from buying the book with "Chaos Theory" and "Space Opera" a while back."

Scott went ahead and ran the description through a translator for us:

Wow, I can't believe I didn't even remember this. I mean, I found out about it like 3 or 4 months ago, and me not knowing much about the comics, thought it wasn't news, just a regular thing. The more you know I guess

As previously reported on our site the Last Stand of the Wreckers is coming to Japanese audiences, and now listed on Amazon is the actual cover for the Japanese release of Last Stand of the Wreckers by artist Tadashi Tajima.

The item is currently listed at $3,456Y and is expected to ship July 31st.

Translated from the Amazon entry:

In the midst of the decepticons' great invasion, The Autobot's Prison Galas 9 fell into the hands of the enemy.

Greetings and happy Saturday Seibertronians! We have an interesting bit of news thanks to our own captain of the TwinCast RodPod ScottyP who just received his copy of the Japanese edition of IDW's Transformers The Last Stand of the Wreckers.
Per Scotty:
"Inside back cover reveals MTMTE (More Than Meets The Eye) and RiD (Robots In Disguise) also getting an official release there on 9/2. Issue breakdown is the same as the US trade paperbacks with Death of Optimus Prime included with MTMTE v1."

That's right, Japanese editions of More Than Meets the Eye and Robots In Disguise including the Death of Optimus Prime are on their way to international audiences, and soon! Per the cover note these are less than a month away but no listings are currently on Amazon Japan. You can however order your own copy of the Japanese edition of The Last Stand of the Wreckers Here.

Anyone who is collecting complete international editions of the IDW run of Transformers will no doubt be excited to learn there's more editions on the way. Just in from amecomi on Twitter are images of the Japanese releases of More than Meets the Eye and Robots in Disguise! Both editions have regular covers and special edition covers as shown below. The regular covers for the separate editions are actually two halves of an incredibly detailed mosaic of the casts of the respective titles. Per the comments attached to the images all titles will be available on Amazon and comic shops such as Verscomics, Blister Comics, and Mametorai with pre-orders starting tomorrow (8/10). Enjoy the views and share your thoughts with the Seibertron crew in the forums. And as always stay tuned to Seibertron for the ultimate in Transformers news!
