The toys r us in 75th in downers grove had no combiner wars figures as of 7 PM Saturday night

Ooh, the guilt. I grabbed the only Fixit at Rosemont Target at around 1:00 this afternoon. He's pretty fun, both modes are nicely done and convincing. My boy digs him.

That's too funny. Glad someone I know got them for their kid, that's awesome. I should have my cases of them in the next week or so for the seibertron store so it's only a temporary setback.

Frustrating thing was I was there yesterday morning when they were putting out a bunch of new toy stock. I didn't see anything Transformers related on the palettes so I didn't press too hard but with that many toys there had to be something!

Also meant to mention how pitiful des plaines kmarts action figure aisle is currently. They have ZERO Transformers other than a few Goldie international transformers. I can't believe they have none at all. I keep looking for the insecticon set but no luck yet. If anyone sees those please let me know ... I can't order them for my store so I have to get it directly from kmart for my personal collection.

Picked these guys up today from the North Riverside TRU. They were the only ones. Not sure if they were the only or if somebody got there before me.

That's awesome to find hot new toys on a whim like that. While it's great ordering toys online, there's nothing like finding them in person!

Thanks again for the tip, dahpadre. I really appreciate it and can't wait to work on their galleries tomorrow. I found them at the Downer's Grove Toys R Us on 75th. Apparently each store is only get one case per store currently. The case assortment contains 1 of each version of Megatron. Happy hunting everyone!

I've also been on the hunt for the Angry Birds Transformers. I didn't realize that they were Toys R Us exclusives when they first came out, passed on them at 40% off back around December 1st (urgh!!!) thinking that they'd be on clearance everywhere at some point, and now regretting that decision.

Fortunately, the Downer's Grove TRU had a decent assortment of the first wave so I picked up the single packs of Optimus Prime, Lockdown, Galvatron, Soundwave and Heatwave along with Sentinel Prime and Bludgeon. That's the first sighting I've seen of the initial releases since I first saw them back in early December at the Bloomingdale TRU. I also picked up the Deceptihog Revenge Galvatron, Grimlock and Thundercracker at the TRU on Butterfield earlier tonight and had ordered the Optimus racetrack set off toysrus.com earlier today.

If anyone sees the translucent Energon 5 pack, the Bumblebee racetrack or the single packed Bumblebee, help a brother out and let me know! I'd like to pick them up soon.

My local comic shop, AF book in frankfort had the wave 1 deluxes and wave 1 and 2 voyagers. They are out of Motor Masters for the time being.

If anyone needs a silverbolt they have a bit of an abundance at the moment.

Springfield area sightings:

Walmart on Freedom Drive has wave 2 Robots in Disguise warriors, Drift and Optimus Prime. 2 of each.

Toys R Us had a couple of Combiner Wars Leader Armada Megatron.

TJ Maxx had two Generations Brainstorms, a Whirl and a Roadbuster.

Walmart by Golf Mil has a single RiD15 Drift, and 3 or 4 Optimus Primes (I bought one). TRU there has a sinhle Armada Leader Megatron.

I've got a question about Brainstorm. Arcana is detached in the package, so I'm not worried about the sticking head issue. But, can you tell the head will get stuck when you're inserting it? Like, is there more resistance trying to put the head in, thus giving the impression it will be harder to pull it out again?

I got mine from HTS last week, isn't he great?! I love all the remolded parts, to keep him from being a straight-up Optimus repaint.

I did notice that his little head (giggity) tends to get stuck in its hidden position, it even popped off in his chest once. Beware.
