Im a little depressed at the moment .,,

Postby Danish-Liokaiser » Fri Jun 08, 2007 4:51 pm

Well ... i dont know why i am actually writting this down here, but ... seems like i can talk to people on this forum instead of my reallife.

Its like everyone of my so called 'friends' just kinda ignore me, and dont know what to talk with me about ...

Im a fatty yes! ... Im playing World of Warcraft too ...

Im wearing an WoW t-shirt right now actually ...

Well normal conversations with my 'friends' is just like:
'Oh so you do play WoW?' Yea ... ' Cool .. are you good at it?' ... I cant answer such an question... 'Cool, im level 200!' The limit level is lvl:70 ... 'Oh ... fine '

Sigh* ... :-(

And the girl i love just burned me off ... i kinda asked her but ... well ... no it didnt worked to well ...

Actually i only have 1 friend that i can fully trust and talk to. He can reply me. We have known each other for 11 years now.

Damn it school-life ...

Being a fatty and playing WOW does not mean anything is wrong with you..

As far as the girl, I went through a bunch before I found the love of my life (whom I have been married to for the past 14 and a half years). Don't give up.

You have 1 friend and that is better than no friends.

Don't worry, things do get better man.. If you need to unload more of your feelings please feel free to PM me.

I'll pray for you as well.

You might want to examine how many hours a day you play WoW-- I tried the 10 day trial and just quit it because it was too addictive and was costing me too much time. If your weight is depressing you, then start exercising-- the chemical effect it can have on the mind is great-- and start observing what you eat everyday. Simply cutting off the refined sugar can help loads.

Nothing really wrong with being a loner, but you might want to try different outlets than WoW-- seriously, the one reason I hated it was it took the time away from my own life to build this fake life that will only be there until I turn off the screen. Try reading and kindling that spark for learning-- I like Nietzsche myself--joining social groups (I'm lucky enough to have a good Boy Scout and Venterer's program where I'm at), or even just picking up a more social hobby like Magic the Gathering.

Hey Man, I used to be you. I know where your coming from and I wanna share with you what was shared with me. It's not nice or apologetic, so, be warned...

Tough Love Time-
We're not really your friends. What I mean by this is you have never met any of us, never hung out with any of us, etc. We are reflections of you. That's why we come off as your friends. We are just data you haven't produced yet and a cross reference for your data to be tested with similar protocols.

Real friends exist outside your home and, for the most part, maintain relationships based on attendance. You need to be able to relate to them in the same way you relate to us. You need to have experiences that don't involve a screen of some kind to relate to most people outside.

The Girl Thing-
1. Chicks don't care how much you like them if they don't like you.

2. Chick's dig mystery, risk and excitement to get there juices flowing. If you can get her juices flowing, she will like you.

3. The 3 most prominent of these switches are: Clothes, Cleanliness, and Charisma.
Button down shirts, Good; Video Game T-shirts, Very Bad.
Fingernails clean, Very Good; Waiting to tomorrow to shave, Bad.
Make fun of her PLAYFULLY, Good; Shower her with affection, Bad.

4.Act the way she makes you feel 10% of the time, or else you'll be stuck in 'friend' limbo. She doesn't want a groupie, she wants to be your groupie. So give her a reason to wanna follow You, not your Money.

Your a smart guy, think about what i said above...

I am 28, 5'11", 265lbs, i have man-boobs and have been balding for about ten years. I played eq2 like i would die if i didn't. I never went out, so i never met anybody outside of my circle of friends. I was depressed for years, alone and probably developed some kind of emotional disorder (I cry sometimes without provocation, I've got most control back, but i still get sucked in by sappy endings **cough**spiderman3**cough**). Also, probably, if they ham up Jazz' finale.

Now? Well, I'm out 5 days a week, I've got friends everywhere i go... Girls come talk to me.

All I did was buy some nice clothes, a watch, shoes... I started keeping clean. That combination of cleanliness with nice clothes made me feel better inside to the point where I felt i deserved others attention, so i got it.

Have A (one) beer before you leave to loosen up, girls smell nervous like bears smell fear.

The best pick-up line ever, hands down, "Hi, I'm (name)" reach out to shake her hand, use some strength so you immediately imply a strong presence. "I noticed your (eyes, hair, clothes, shoes, singing voice) and i think that/it was great." if she asks you a question, answer vaguely (mystery) and change the subject to her (interest).

Smile and nod, remember small details. Get flirty/teasing with her, "I noticed your earlobe is a little lower on the left than the right," when she gives you a shocked look reply, "It's okay, you still look sexy."

Remember, Sexy not Hot. Sexy takes work, Hot you're born with. If a girl spends 3 hours making herself feel sexy, the last thing she wants is for her hard work to be reduced to "you look like yourself". Thats a groupie move, we're not groupies.

Thats enough for now, work on this and then let me know how things go. I'm seeing 2 girls now, one of which i found out is dating an old friend of mine (yikes!). We go out, to places i already have planned in advance... Don't freeball a date, it makes you look uncertain. And for God's sake, don't you ever say, "I don't care where we go". not good.

Peace and good luck brother!

PS- their ain't no sex when your dead, so suicide is never an option... Been there done that.

Actually ... well my game time in WoW i reduced plenty. Its just that it is the only thing they know about me ... 'WoW' ...

I can live without girls, my biggest problem is that i cant tell about my 'Life-styled-hobby-called-transformers'.

Youngers at there age dont understand that you can actually collect toys. I just dont know about i should tell them.
The risk would be that nobody would be talking to me.

Well, what interests do your friends and you share? Talk about them with those.

Or start integrating yourself into other groups. Hang out with others. Even if they only ever talk about WOW, you'll still have real interaction.

As for the girl, it's not all bad news. I told the lass I liked I liked her and she was cool about it. We are still friends so if she is worth your attention, it should still be good between you two. And if not, then be glad because you would have been unhappy in the long run.

Can I ask a question? If you have little or nothing in common with them why are they your friends? Is it a case of them being childhood friends that have developed different intersts as you grew up? That happened to me, grew apart from a lot of friends from my primary school that went to the same highschool as me. Either way you may need to get new friends, ones that have more in common with you, worked great for me.

Hey Leokaiser,

Sounds like your having some social troubles. You know what? I was here too, about 3 or four years ago talking about the same problem.

I felt like a loser. I was living with my mom, single, and unhappy with myself. People would always tell me that my time will come (with girls). And it did.

What everyone else is telling you is right. Go out and do activities. Enjoy your precious young life and have some damn fun. Im not telling you to leave right this second and go party or whatever, but start little by little. Stop being shy, and speak with confidence. People like to hang around a good humorous person who is full of life.

I'm talling you all this from experience. I'm telling you, right now I can make as many friends as I want of any gender.
I'm married with a beautiful girl on the way.

15, huh? Do you have a job?

I used to sit at home and play Nintendo all the time until I got my first summer job. The change was immediate and noticeable to all.

I bused tables at a seafood restaurant in Destin, Florida, and lost sixty pounds just getting into motion. I looked and felt better than I ever had, and being in a social environment forced me to interact with other people my age. The next school year, I got involved with the academic team and tennis teams, and continued to work on the weekends.

Just a word of advice. Good luck.

Can't really give you much help, as I don't have too many friends(I just moved into my area a few years ago & so far have found nothing but beer-guzzling rednecks), & I got together with my wife by a few "friends" in college thinking it would be cute to hook up the two losers in our class for a laugh(joke's on them....)....but what I can give would probably be echoed by anybody else in here:

Confidence....the real key to just about anything social.

If you want friends, be confident in yourslef.

You want them to accept you for who you are, WoW, Transformers, etc. included...be confident in yourself. Don't be embarrased about what you do in your spare time, or else they will find a reason to embarrass you with it. But also don't put it at the forefront of every conversation....that's just giving people ammo to throw it back in your face.

You want a girl, be confident....

& so on & so forth.

Well im thinking of making an application to my local store.

Both the way, thanks for all the help guy/girls.
I will try to work on this.
Maybe its just a question about patience, see what future brings the next and final school year in 9th grade. Its only 3 more weeks to the summer holiday.
Maybe i should start on my manga in the summer, just to fill my mind with something diffrent.

I was horribly shy before my first job, but I had the good fortune to work with a bunch of really great people who loved to go out drinking. I miss those days.

Here's how you get cool.

1.Raid your medicine cabinet
2.Sell contents to the "cool kids" at school
3.You are now cool!
4.Make sure you keep selling to meet the demand of your product.

Viola. You are now cool.

You basically described me there as well (except for the lass thing. I already knew she had a boyfriend before but with some encouragement, I figured 'What the hell?')

Basically, you just need to go out, try to make some new friends with interests you enjoy. Join a club.

Everyone who says confidence is key is correct. I mean, I have a bit of an inferiority complex, but when I walk with confidence down the street (some might say strut) or when I'm out dancing (even though I can't to save my life) people tend to flock to me and enjoy talking. Yet I still can't pull. :???:

And like you say, be patient. Hang in there. Once you get away from the muppetts of that age (ie sixth form onto uni) you get a better class of people who are no where near as judgmental.

It sounds like you want real advice kid, so I'll chip in.

The problem you are going to face, is that the solution to all your problems is much more difficult than simply not doing anything to change.

There aren't any easy answers.

You're going to have to make major lifestyle changes.

You're going to have to get off the computer.

You're going to have to get involved with something, somewhere.

You're going to have to stop saying, "I can't."

If you care about yourself enough to start changing your life, it will get better and these seemingly difficult things will actually end up being things you look foward to.

But the truth is, put away the computer, put away the anime, put down the games, and get involved with real life.

All those distractions are good and fine, but they're only good and fine when your life is otherwise functioning properly.

Good luck.
