ACToys.net has posted an image of last years Wonderfest exclusive Black Convoy, originally a loose figure, in what appears to be Henkei/Gentei packaging. This could suggest that this figure may see a wider release, much like recent store exclusives Thrusts/Dirge and Gentei Strafe. However, it could also be some sort of early test shot that's just surfacing now.

Except that Nemesis Prime had blue windows and Decepticon symbols on him. and blue legs too.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the box for Clear Convoy tinted blue?

I'd be tempted to get this, if only to have the other as Nemesis Prime and this one as "Scourge."

I thought the Wonderfest one didn't get released at all, and only got to the test shot stage.

Well I don't want to get my hopes up too much since it could easily be an old test-shot or a custom-made box, but this is a must buy if it ever comes out. All it will need is some repro Decepticon labels and my Nemesis Primes will have gained another to their ranks... it'll give me an excuse to blow way too much money on that badass sword too.

Jeez. With all the money I spend on this junk I could've had an MP Grimlock by now...that's something to think about.

It's an amazing looking figure but part of me really hopes this isn't real, adding up the cost of this and another Fansproject Commander set is terrifying.

Cool figure but if he's released, it'll probably cost north of 150 dollars shipped. I can't justify paying that much for another black Prime/Convoy, no matter how cool. Plus, I just don't need a fifth copy of this mold.

And my Transformers buyer intuition suggests that SDCC Nemesis Prime will still be a lot cheaper than this.

No,no, no. Henkei exclusives have taken the last money their gonna get from me. Expensive ass Dirge and Thrust. These Japanese exclusives just aren't worth it anymore.

This is great if true, my top want of the line. I couldn't even get a pre-release of it no matter how hard I tried, that's odd indeed.

Seeing this in the package now - my guess is that this will be released as an exclusive for one of the upcoming Japanese toy events this summer. It might be for Botcon or one of the others that takes place in July.

Oooh, finally, this might just see the light of day after all! Price be damned, it will be mine. I mean why not? I've got all the other black Primes or Convoys. Just missing Jafcon and this guy.

Actually, this is quite real. I own one of these, but it never came in a box. It was loose and shrink wrapped. But the mold and colors are the same, red windows, dark teal trim, gray face plate, etc.

I got him about a year or so ago from an ebay link that was hosted on this site, if anyone would like pictures I'd gladly post.

I was hoping that this would see a release, but it still looks different from the test shot that was released last year...I'm preety sure it had more tan. The Autobot symbols on the shoulders don't seem like they should be there.

Ah, well, if it's real, I'll add it to the want list.

I would love some pictures.

I remember all those eBay auctions, never bought one because I figured Black Convoy would hit retail. It just took longer than I thought it would.
