The latest addition to Alfes 2010's collection is the recently released Japanese domestic figure, Arms Micron AM-23 Wheeljack. A retool of Hasbro's Prime Wheeljack, this figure houses a handful of Micron ports, and in contrast to recent white Takara toys such as United Drift and Jazz, AM-23 Wheeljack does not have vibrant white plastic. Like all of the Arms Micron figures, Wheeljack is bare out of the package, with the expectation of the use of the provided foil stickers. Wheeljack's micron partner, Ooje, transforms from his bulky robot mode to Wheeljack's primary sword. Unlike other AM releases, Wheeljack retains his Hasbro weapons. Check out some of the images mirrored below, while the rest can be found here.

One more reason not to buy anything Hasbro Prime related.

Love his micron, but the off white on Jackie himself is a touch off putting. I mean, I wasn't planning to get this either way, but it just is a bit of a letdown not getting to see some pristine white Takara plastic.

It really looks white enough to me. Why be so picky about every small detail?
I'm also sure the Micron will combine with others to make some super great weapon, leaving those of us out of Takara territory to feel shafted.

I see a Mini-con port pock-marked, paintless, way-off-white Wheeljack swinging a surfboard with a monkey attached to it. What do you see? Sorry, there is nothing redeeming about the TakaraTomy versions of the Prime figures compared to the Hasbro versions.

I've got the Hasbro version. Am I knocked out by this one? No. Suffice to say I'm indifferent. Each to their own

The black hands are accurate.

But I'm not shelling out money to import just for hands.

this is how i see the entire micron line. when there is not a huge hole added some where to the toy there a tumor of 5mm peg added. and the microns barely look like the TFs weapon. the powerizers mechtech weapons look more accurate than the microns.

I see that too. Methinks you meant to say anything Takara Prime-related? :-?

As in anything Takara makes that is related to Prime? Compared to Hasbro, there is no contest, Hasbro wins hands down. In fact, Takara messed up Animated as well.

I have doubts Hasbro will make a superior Breakdown to Takara. One of the few figures I was willing to import.

The number of figures I want to import from Japan is still rather low, but yes; Hasbro has the superior line in regards to Prime.

I'm not familiar with the Takara Animated line, how did they screw it up?

Not sure. I remember Bulkhead looked kind of ugly in his deco.

I'm still pissed the skywarp and thunder cracker didn't come with the arm missiles. The only takara prime figures I've picked up have been ones that didnt have hasbro releases. Terrorcon cliff jumper, breakdown, jet vehicon and Ironhide. Microns and stickers both suck.

I like the Microns, but I would prefer some paint detailing over placing stickers on sculpted detail. Stickers that can get misaligned and peel off and are hard to align just right. >_>

I don't want Hasbro to make a better Breakdown, I just want them to import the existing Breakdown, maybe sell it at a higher price point.

Is anyone going to sculpt teeth onto that blade?
It's an awful sword but I think it'd make a nice chainsaw.
