The script regarding the creation of Unicron's charges was bordering on pathetic. the movie itself is absolutely riddled with animation and continuity errors, so lets just leave that one right alone.
The movie was released in Japan in August of 1989, unlike the US. The Japanese disregarded the 4th season and proceeded with their own take on the continuity. So, yes, it is entirely plausible for the Japanese to have these and other dead in the US characters featured. Watching Wheeljack, Minerva and Perceptor working away on Ginrai hurt my head thinking about it too.

That is all true. However, I was using those choice points to show him that if he wanted to bicker about an animated error getting a Masterpiece spin-off... Then he might as well bicker about every other aspect that was allowed. ;) But thanks for the additional stuff, even though The Rebirth is the exact reason why I will not collect any vintage U.S. Hasbro pieces anytime soon. :BOOM:

Besides that, it was not even animated by Toei - They worked on a good chunk of the first two seasons, the movie, less on season 3, and were hired by Takara to work on their stuff while Hasbro chose a cheaper company to do The Rebirth.

And also, when it comes to the movie, TV Magazine did give some info about the events while dubbing it "The Unicron War." And that was due to some issues that prevented the movie to debut in 1987. But this is a different subject.

Thing is that the only explanation for Wheeljack's return is that his body was not with the others when Zombie Convoy made his appearance. Which means that between Headmasters and Victory, his body was recovered and those who specialized in even bringing Convoy back were able to do the same for him.

But Takara Tomy may never say if that is the case, as they don't always give us the full story.

wow i thought this guy was so awesome and everyone’s beating the crap out of him. the only reason i’m not getting him is because there are 5 other MPs coming by december. if i can scramble up some money later on in the year and his price hasn't risen i’ll definitely get him

They've got some descent figures there. We can thank Hasbro's budget cuts for making David Wise's job as a scriptwriter all the more difficult.
"Hi, I'm Sureshot. I'm Triggerhappy" ok, who are the next 30 toys we need to introduce in the 2 seconds we have left of the episode?
I agree also with the comment on the animation error. Takara now has an extra 3 rainmaker characters up their sleeves, not to mention all those filler seekers seen in the first 3 episodes. I will not be surprised at all if they pump out another 5 seeker characters based on season 1

LOL AKOM & Nelson Shin. Making money at the expense of quality. Who cares if Brawl is shown next to Bruticus?!

Quite honestly, I do not have any love for Hasbro when it comes to their stuff within North America these days. It is why I ignore anything they have done while seeking out pieces from their European "Classic" line, Takara Tomy, and with great wishes... The old MB line. Maybe Hasbro's China line, as those were sent as mail-orders when it came to both the Dinobots and Gnaw.

But with Takara back then, and Takara Tomy now, have my respect. e-HOBBY still has my respect because they took errors and gave them new life. Not happy with the VSE set right now, but that is a different reason. So lets say that Sunstorm is their saving grace... Even though his reissue is currently hard to find.

So when it comes to TOMY, I welcome anything they make. Chances are, unless they are Encore sets, I will not buy them. >:oP
