New heads would not have hurt these.

I wouldn't have totally rocked that Banzai-Tron if it had got a new head. I think the mold is great overall. Oh well, I just saved myself some more money.

Here is why I have to disagree with you. The Alternity (based on the series) are highly evolved versions of the Cybertron and Destron. The toys based on this series are not their actual forms, but rather auto-avatars. Because of this, their auto-avatar forms are based on what class they represent and their current color scheme.

For example: Convoy, an alternate Convoy, Black Convoy, Ultra Magnus, and Dai Atlas all share what could be dubbed a leader-class form. The same goes for Megatron and Galvatron.

Does it mean that their actual forms resemble these forms? Highly unlikely. But it is easy to assume that by the time this series started, Convoy was sporting a silver finish... Instead of a black finish in G-2. 8)

As for these two figures, however... I have to agree on the need to pass. Banzai-Tron looks great, and it is good to see him get a proper introduction to the Japanese G1 timeline. But he does nothing for me, even though I wonder if he was a Seeker in his own timeline. And Galvatron does even less for me.

So if I had to choose, I'd prefer seeking out the last three Convoy Corp. members I (technically) need before I try to obtain these. >:oP

Agreed. But I theorize that it's because these are "Exclusives." The only unique head molds were Cliffjumper and Starscream.

It is time for new molds. Or this line is dead... I don't want that to happen...

I'm probably alone in this, but, honestly, I am REALLY digging that Banzai-Tron more than his previous figures. Shame he's an overpriced exclusive, dammit.

It's so sad that this line never reached its full potential.

I was kinda wanting Banzai-Tron just because I really like the Alternity seeker mold, but he's too pricey and the color scheme isn't that impressive. To me anyway.

What's wrong with them? They may not look that nice, but are they as neon as the G2 toys?

I actually like the bright colors, they make him stand out next to the other seekers. It's actually the fact that they chose solid black for the car mode that throws me. I would have liked to see something different/less plain looking I guess.

You theorized correctly. Namely because the storyline to the series was completed long ago, and those being added from that point on are exclusives. That, and the Planicrons would be the best to explain why Dai Atlas and Gold Bug were not present, yet received their own exclusives. Plus, the remaining gestalt of Megatrons would both explain why Galvatron does not look any different and why Banzai-Tron is making a post-series entrance as well.

The rest, however, are explained in the stories made for the series. 8)
