I hope we're not going to get a Minerva, and then a lazy ladyboy-Nightbeat repaint for the west. I needs me a proper Nightbeat, complete with Trenchcoat accessory.

Am I the only one who thinks Fansproject's not-Chromedome looks abut too plain or blocky when comparing it to just Brainstorm or Weirdwold? I mean, I really like they way all of them look, but somehow it feels like they put more effort and detail into those 2... I'm loving Fansproject's designs except for poor Domey, actually.

I've had the same thoughts as well, but that's how he was back in G1. He's always had a very basic robot form. Makes the IDW version look crazy radical.

I disagree. These fit almost perfectly with Classics. These are not meant to be comparable with the original toys. Why do you keep going there? o_O It's fine if you would prefer voyager, but FP is well justified to make them deluxe, meaning that they are not a "wrong" size, but a size to fit with what many are looking for. A number of people (including myself) have fully supported FP's size choices. I know that while I like ToyWorld's Hard Bone being larger, I much prefer the remaining in the smaller deluxe size. (Plus, this keeps the price down. Another plus!) It's why I much prefer FP's Brainwave to TW's. We'll see how Cerebros scales...

Let's please not get into yet another scale debate
Please?
.....
PLEASE?
I find I've been generally non-committal to FP's Autobot Headmasters, while I think the Decepticon ones all look brilliant, but I am still a bit leery of this and kind of annoyed by by almost every single release thus far has shoulder restrictions and this looks to be no different. Plus the fact that as good as this looks it's doesn't really compare to how metal ROTF Mindwipe is... I'm struggling with what I want to Mindwipe to look like on my Classics shelf. Is there any confirmation that FP is going to do a Skullcruncher?

Can the FP & TW Headmasters Partners be swapped back & forth with the original toys?

FP works one way only - their headmasters can be used on the original figures or Toyworld, albeit with a slightly loose fit. Their figures cannot accommodate non-FP headmasters though, since they lack slots for the tabs used for showing the tech spec stats on the G1 figures chests. G1 and Toyworld are fully interchangeable.

Oh, I agree with Shadowstream. RotF Mindwipe is an awesome mold! I like FP's for the Classic's G1 homage. But if Mindwipe were going to have a vehicular mode instead of a beast mode, I think RotF would be perfect!

He's referring to the artistic aesthetics commonly associated with the covers of Metal albums.

What? that HFTD Minwipe looks nothing like 1987 Mindwipe. There isn't a single homage in the sculpt on HFTD Mindwipe that is even remotely a nod towards the 1987 toy.
This HFTD Mindwipe literally looks like Hasbro just slapped any old school name on it.

Clearly you haven't seen some of the "bat modes" fans have come up with. The way the wings are set in bot mode is an obvious homage to the G1 character and toy.
