Depends on the condition of the packaging. Yes that's right I said packaging. Because for the most part unless toys are very very old their virtually worthless out of the package. You can most likely find the actual prices of the toys in question in Toyfare though.

(hey im a 7th grader too) but since the movie I don't think the TF toys will be worth as much as they probaly were...With or without package...Sorry to be the bringer of bad news ...

Actually because of the movie, the interest in the line is greater, meaning people might want to find older stuff ... the supply for it is slim seeing it is no longer on the shelves and thus people can demand more money for them. It's the reason why the price for old comics skyrocket after a new movie has been released. The problem is, the only thing this guy has is maybe 8 years old, and since he's young I doubt the BW stuff is MISN, and I got a loose TM2 Dinobot yesterday for $2.00. The Movie stuff is pretty new, and it doesn't seem like he has anything that is too hard to find (I know they are ALL hard to find now a days, but it's no '08 Bumblebee). In my honest opinion, I wouldn't go over $100 in what this is worth, and that's only because the Voyagers are $20 each now.

Actually, a lot of people are having problems finding movie toys right now, so you might get something for them now or later on down the road.
Beast Wars will eventually, I am sure, have some sort of revival, so those figs will also see an increase in demand eventually, though not right now.
As for the Armada figs... eh... people like minicons, so keep hold of them, but the actual 'bots from Armada were not as well loved.

He said how much is the collection worth - not "what can I get for these", so having new figures aren't going to be worth much ... without goign to eBay and scalping them - so the actual value of his movie toys are retail prices.
As far as Beast Wars seeing a revival, it did, this year, during the 10th Anniversary re-release of the popular figures ... sadly, his toys aren't included in that list.
And I will agree with you for the Armada point ... but even if people love Mini-Cons, that's why they have re-released them in every line ... which makes demand for them go down.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to discourage the kid, but the fact is a new collection isn't going to be worth that much. If he had a G1 collection ... then we'd be talking. And with the same figures in 20 years, the price will be a different story.
And remember, collect for love, not for money ... collecting for money isn't worth it, because it will not pay off in the end. Look at the greedy Beanie Baby collectors ... eventually they just flooded the market and now they are worthless (for the most part).
