interesting how the figure gains paint apps between the first and second robot picture, and ofcourse the obligatory mistransformed jet mode

I think I'd rather take my chances finding him at Walmart for less, as well as not dealing with the shipping cost.

$60 yeah i dont think so, $40 is about the most id pay for a leader & only if its bigger than whats being passed off as leader class these days.

$93.33 after shipping if you do their cheapest option. 8-| This is why they don't get my money any more.

I'm more sad to see that bright blue in the "cockpit" chest become a dull gray... but yeah... where'd the paint go, Hasbro? Do you just all assume we're going to use Reprolabels to fix your goofs? lol

I'm expecting this figure to cost more at places like BBTS, to be honest. Not sure what I want to do this time, take my chances with TRU or pay more online.

As for the missing paint apps, it's annoying but inevitable. I'd personally rather they skipped out on the chrome and kept the paint. G1 Jetfire didn't have any chrome, so it doesn't make sense. I guess we'll have to settle for Reprolabels, unless they're smart and put a sticker sheet in the box like Whirl.

However, if they're marketing this as a Platinum Edition, which would explain the chrome, prepare for higher prices everywhere.

Looks Awesome! I'll buy a few. But not from RK! Shipping is such a joke.

I thought this was going to be another Amazon pre-order and got supe excite for a moment...then I saw it was RobbyK at an inflated price with rape-flavored shipping...which caused me to curse at this bastard thread.

The rape analogies need to stop. It's offensive and ridiculous.

I am offended by hypersensitive, overly PC reactions. Please consider my feelings, too. Thanks.

While there's clearly some sarcasm in that reply, it also rings with truth. Words are just words. Their context and intent are much more important. If you choose to be offended by something that clearly isn't being said, that's more on you.

Btw guys, not a PR man of RK (only purchased once (Tomy Breacher from them 'cause I buy either amiami, hobbysearch and last resort hlj) but concerning the price. Being HK based and if the destination is the continental USA, won't it cost more? Just asking.

Is Jetfire a platinum edition figure?

I guess that would explain a $60 price tag then???

If he was just a regular leader class, I would expect $45.

Yeah, remember what I said yesterday in the other Jetfire post?

This reinforces it. Does anyone really think any mass retailer is going to carry a toy that is priced $20 over its own target margin? A leader figure is supposed to be $40 tops. $60? Good luck finding one. And again, that is assuming Hasbro actually follows thru on producing these.

Just shut up already. :BANG_HEAD: EVery f-ing post you make is just you bitching about crap. Please do us all a favor and disappear. You add nothing positive to this board, all you do is troll with your negativity. You are the worst the kind of poster and this forum is a worse place because of your presence on it.

RoTF Leader Class figures (Optimus Primes, Megatrons, Jetfire) sold for $50 in 2009 at Walmart. I bought Leader Ironhide in 2011 for $44 at TRU. I imagine the prices would either stay the same or go up a bit. Unless I got hosed.

It's fully expected that it would cost more to ship than if bought from a US retailer. However, the shipping is very much overpriced. It just plain does not cost $33 to ship something that size from HK to the USA, unless you start talking about Express services, which that $33 price is not for.

They're known for this kind of thing. It's $20 to ship a deluxe figure now from RK, again at the cheapest. The actual cost is probably somewhere around $15. That $33 on Jetfire should probably be closer to $20, unless they put it in some kind of ridiculously sized box.

So it's a mark up/scalper price then. That being the case, unless you're desperately needing a particular figure, choose wisely then(?)
