Curious to know if there's anyone who'll pass on Botcon Skybite in favor of this one.

These don't look like combiners to me, just a bunch of shark themed figures.
If it WAS a combiner I may be more interested .... but only a little.
Neat, but I'll be saving this money.

I wonder if Bandai (who I think does Brave) is more litigious than HasTak?

TakaraTomy still owns the Brave series toy molds, but in a strange twist Bandai owns the animes via their acquisition of Sunrise. The confusion isn't unfounded, as the designs were by Sunrise's Kunio Okawara, known for his work on Gundam.
The character in question is Captain Shark, from Brave of Gold Goldran

It's FunPub. It's their specialty.

The Cybershark colors seem lower quality & uglier compared to the Rid Skybyte Premium colors.
Cybershark is easily forgetable. More fans want the Skybyte & Gnaw colors on shark bot toys.
Even TFCC didn't want to do any Cybershark colors on the Botcon repaints. This is bad,as these guys are infamous for doing all those Obsecure TF character toys repaints.
If HasTak does a repaint for 30th Skybyte it will be in Gnaw colors & name. Maybe with a new head.
3rd parties won't be interested in doing shark bot repaints in Cybershark toy colors. Because they estimate the ordering numbers will be so insanely low.
