It's going to be a while. I posted this news just because many have been waiting for over 4 months.
So far there is not even a rumor that MP21 Bumblebee will be KO'd.

Earlier Yesterday, Bought a KO MP Wheeljack from Ebay. Paid $35 with free shipping.

Went the KO option because I don't think this Takara MP Wheeljack toy is worth the current American based import site price of $80 plus another $7 in shipping fees. As This toy is only Deluxe-Voyager class.

Not willing to wait another year from now for the Hasbro Toysrus MP Wheeljack toy. Guessing will cost $70, Plus tax and plus shipping fees. Don't care for the newer over sized boxes that look like you can fit Four toys inside them.

Last year, Bought a KO MP G2 Sideswipe from ebay for around $35 with free shipping. Was happy with the purchase as it was a high quality KO. Had no defects or issues with the toy. box even arrived in great condition. Package arrived to me in under Two to Three weeks.

Waiting for the KO Companies to KO MP Bumblebee. As their is no way i'm paying the American based import site price $75, plus $7 in shipping fees. for a Takara Deluxe class Five inch tall robot MP Bumblebee toy.

So even official MP are not worth your money ?

i thought your hang up was paying over the top for undersized 3rdp .

personally i couldnt buy KO MP , the MP line as good as it will ever get it and can not be made any more accurate it is perfection that alone is enough to pay the going price , i dont think the size of the toy even comes into it.

I really hate these KOs... if you preorder the official versions when they come out from Japan they cost the same thing anyway. Why are people so happy to pay $40 for a KO when you can get the original for the same thing. I brought 2 MP Wheeljack for $75.70 shipping was like 7 dollars SAL register.. Why some people support these KOs is mind boggling it's going to Kill the Masterpiece line.

TSU: I paid $2.85 more for the real thing. I hope you feel bad when the line gets discontinue.

Agree on that we should support the originals. I suppose the original sale volume is so great anyways, therefore Takara Tomy doesn't really make such big deal our of it (according to TFWiki.net)
The fact that the KOs does intentionally spell differently, put the logo somewhere else does show the respect - they could have just scanned box if they are like those copy cats in, say, Louis Vuitton's case.

Also, there are many just curious to see what it is or put it in vehicle mode besides their originals.

I don't hate those buy KOs, I also have a lot of respect to the designers.

I almost posted the same thing earlier but I stopped myself for 2 reasons:
1). Those preorders from Japanese sites usually sell out very quickly. Not everyone is fortunate enough to get their orders in timely, and not everyone has the time to keep checking for the time when the preorder is put up. The alternatives are to buy from local retailers at the marked-up price, wait for the Hasbro version (which may or may not be cheaper), wait for a good deal if the figures don't sell out, or simply don't get the figure.

2). Some people don't have the disposable income to pay for these but they still want them. It's either an economic restraint on the consumer or it's just being a cheapskate.

However, I do agree with your sentiment that there has to be sustainable market to continue buying official products if we continue to enjoy them. And in this particular instance, to "complete a set" (if that's ever a possibility).

I ordered 2 of WJ when HLJ had him listed and paid roughly $60/ea with shipping factored in. I sold one to a friend who has financial restraints but would love to have an MP collection. I told him basically what you said above, sometimes buying legit product can cost as much or slightly higher than KO. I may have to

Hopefully I did my part to nullify at least one KO purchase. I love MPs and want this line to continue. Maybe if it were easier to consistently get the official product at a cheaper price, others will follow through and the KO market will not have the financial incentive to keep up their production.

Last I checked, Some overseas sites were charging over $50 for the official Takara MP Voyager class cars bots. Shipping was not free, It cost over $20.

Please can you provide a site with a link to show me where you paid $75 with $7 shipping for Two official Takara MP Voyager class cars bots.

Wheeljacks is long gone. You have to get these while it's up for pre-order rather than wait 6 months. Like I said before pre-ordering is free.

Just put that 6000 Yen in a currency converter. it's converts to $50.63.

While that $50.63 for Takara MP Tracks may seem low. Often times these overseas sites charge around $22.50 for shipping to American buyers. The total including shipping comes to around $73.

You're assuming its $22. did you put it in the CAl? NO? So go ahead and try to cal out how much shipping is. I live in the US too, and I'll tell you its not $22 unless you want it EMS in 2 days.

here is tracks from another site (it's sold out now but preorders been up for a month before it sold out as well.

I've never been charged more than $13 shipping for two MP cars at HLJ, and that's with using EMS. I have noticed that some of the other sites charge a little more for shipping, but not really too much more than HLJ.

Also, I've bought every single car MP from HLJ since Prowl, and the shipping has always remained consistent within the changing of the Yen.

Tracks costs more however, because of the stand he comes with, which makes his box bigger and heavier as well, and while I expect a difference in shipping, I doubt it'll be ridiculous.

It's worth noting that different shops offer different discounts and shipping. For most of my import buying, I use either HLJ or AmiAmi. AmiAmi usually gives the best discount, but will sell out of preorders fast. HLJ doesn't have as good of a PO discount, but still offer one and are reliable. Both of these sites offer shipping at a decent price, and you have choices of how to ship your product out.

I can only recount now that when I purchased the 2 WJs last year from HLJ, it was 5,200 JPY/ea + 1,740 JPY EMS shipping (the fastest). So that's a total of 12,140 JPY to have 2 smaller Masterpiece figures shipped to the US and I think I got them within 3 - 4 days of the provider shipping them out. Sometimes getting through customs will take a bit longer regardless of shipping method. If I were to purchase this today, it would be roughly $50.82 for each figure w/shipping. That's much better than the US retailers selling for ~$80.

I hope this information helps you all out. I can vouch for the two Japanese retailers listed above, and Mooncake also offered another site's info. It also helps to look at the Seibertron main page for news on when sites post their pre-orders. That has helped me out a lot.

6000 yen put into a USA Currency converter, converts to $50.63.

While the $50.63 may seem low. It simply does not include the high shipping cost from overseas to American buyers.

Most overseas sites charge around $22.50 for shipping to american buyers. so the complete total for a Takara MP Tracks including shipping is around $73.

 Paying $73 is no longer a bargain. As most American based import sites charge around $79.99 for a Takara MP Tracks.

That's great that these KOs does intentionally mark themselves differently so you can tell them apart. But in the end it's still going to hurt the line because you have people like Tsutsukakushi that would rather save ~$5 to buy the KO.

Re: KO MP-20 Wheeljack is being released on April 25th.

It's kinda blatantly obvious that Tsu's only aiming to buy whichever version is cheaper. If someone KOs MMC Carnifex for a cheap price, he's gonna jump on that and say how the original MMC is not worth the asking price
OMG you guys, it's his right to buy KOs!
And damn i've been here long enough to notice that pattern :BANG_HEAD:

That said, I'm not worried about them ending the MP line soon, but this will undoubtedly provide ammo for Hasbro should they decide to go after 3rd parties, especially with the recent ban on botcon. They're certainly starting to feel it!
