Lake of Fire - Prelude to the Unbinding

Earth is a beautiful planet, lush with life, overflowing with energy and ripe for the taking. The Decepticons want to conquer it and harness that energy for their own purposes. The Autobots want to keep it out of Decepticon hands. This forum contains their battles and struggles all across the planet.

Ironhide sneered and his optics flickered like a human's eyes would roll at Kup's prattling.

"Here we go again." he grumbled. "Ya start in on them with these war stories of yers an' they ain't gon' make it to yer age! They'll put the barrels of their blasters to their heads an' pull the trigger!"

He looked around with a smirk, then back at Kup.

"Or else, they'll start shootin' this way, and might take me out along with yer worthless rusted skidplate!"

Ironhide then took 2 exaggerated steps to the side, pretending to get out of the line of fire aimed at Kup.

"Jazz, assemble an investigation team. Its a pretty big area so I suspect you'll need a good scout and scientist familiar with the topography of the region. And given that this could very well be a trap, take a few heavy hitters with you as an escort, a someone capable of mitigating some of that previously mentioned Air Superiority should be included. Scoop can serve as your field medic should the need arise."

"I'm going. If he's hurt he'll need medical attention. He'll need to be stable before he's moved. Remember I call the shots when it comes to the health of every single one of these mechs. And that goes for Optimus as well."

"No arguments there." Jazz stated in response to Ratchet's input on the idea of a investigative/rescue team. The Autobot CMO was their best bet of determining if it was the real Optimus or not, as well reviving the lost Prime should they happen to actually stumble across his bulky red, white, and blue chassis. "I'll start getting a team ready. Blaster, you up to joining along? Gonna need some on the ground to help trace that anomaly." Before turning on his heel to enter the crew member cabin, Ultra Magnus stopped Jazz once more after informing him about putting Springer and his own team of heavy hitters on standby.

"And one more thing Jazz. If this signal is legitimate... You had better bring Optimus home. If it isn't, then I want who ever is responsible for the poorly thought out plot... educated politely in proper manners."

Jazz was not usually a mech to get down and dirty in terms of putting cons down like the Wreckers or Dinobots were infamous for, but he gave the Autobot Commander a grin that he fully understood what he was hinting at. Carrying out that last order, he'll have to see if that truly happens when they get there. With Magnus giving out the final order to begin the search and (possible) rescue mission, Jazz exited the cockpit and made his way into the passenger cabin.

Transmission from Ark-22 to Ultra Magnus

Shuttle Longevity - CCCU/Passenger Cabin

Chromedome fell silent as Rewind muttered those three rarely outspoken words. His grip around the archivist's smaller actuators tightened as his chassis seemed to just loose all prior tension and finally slacked in a state of relaxation.

"I love you too." Chromedome replied in the same tender-hearted tone that Rewind stated. "And I'm glad you're safe now. Well, more than glad to be honest but... yeah you get the idea."

-

Jazz entered the passenger cabin of Magnus' personal shuttle and examined the gathered Autobots who were winding down from the battle. Good to see that their spirits were still high after facing near extinction, a Demi-God certainly was a different pace than the standard vehicon or seeker lackey the Decepticons tossed at them. Walking along the line of chairs, the director of special operations began running through a list of viable candidates he could take on this trip with him. Most of his potential picks were immediately crossed off when he passed the CCCP, seeing a few of his key choices laying on medical berths or in a CR chamber.

We're gonna need someone who understands the Earth terrain of that area better than anyone... Beachcomber should probably still be aboard one of the ships, wonder if he's up for a little sight-seeing.

The black and white Autobot leaned up against the wall of the shuttle and rubbed his chin strut as he pondered more about the team he had to assemble. They needed someone to keep an eye on the skies, though mostt of the Aerialbots were in need of repairs save for their commanding officer. Hot Spot could make for a nice heavy hitter, just need to place a call up to the Guardian to get him onboard with the mission. Then again 'Comber was up there too probably so it'd be a two-for-one special order.

Well, that seems like a decent list of crew members, now it's time to get them on the line and get this show on the road. Jazz reached towards his hip compartments and pulled out a small, long-range communicator. He dialed in the broadcast frequency of the Guardian's communications relay and awaited for the signal of the line connecting. Once he hears the line open, he made his call to the Protectobot Commander.

>>"Hot Spot my man! Listen, got a big job I'm gonna need you and a few others to join in on. I'll brief you all at once, but get Beachcomber and Silverbolt to the bounce chamber and I'll clue you all in then. Jazz ouwwwt."<<

Blaster listened to Jazz, Magnus, and the Hatchet hash out the details of the plan. All of it sounded good to the communications officer. He was just itchin’ to get over to Prime and help the big guy out if he needed it. Course, there was always the option that this was some kinda set up, Blaster knew that. But he didn’t think the Cons were behind it. They didn’t exactly have the manpower to expend on that right now. Seemed like they had brought out all their big fancy guns for the fight with the Fallen.

And what a hell of a fight too. It had taken out most of the Cons’ heavy hitters. But still, those heavy hitters were gonna get back on their feet eventually. The Autobots would be the next target set in their sights. Was a pretty grim situation if you thought about it. The Dinobots were off going AWOL. They did have some former Wreckers around, but still. What were they gonna do against that green monster and Sixshot? What if the Cons mass produced those giants?

"I'll start getting a team ready. Blaster, you up to joining along? Gonna need some on the ground to help trace that anomaly."

“Oh, you betcha, Jazz. No way you’re goin’ to get Prime without me. I’ll fix us some tunes for the occasion,” Blaster replied with gusto. Following the special operative out into the main passenger cabin, Blaster stood by Jazz, internally already putting together a rockin’ playlist for their expedition. “So who you thinkin’ about inviting along?”

Rewind felt Domey’s squeeze on his hand. It was reassuring. Let him know that things were gonna be okay. And yeah, why wouldn’t it be? Chromedome’s own utterance of that rarely said phrase made the small archivist relax a bit more, though his head was killing him. “Heh, yeah, I get the idea, Domey,” Rewind replied cheerfully.

“So…We won, right?” Rewind asked, his head tilted slightly to look around at those around. However, that kinda hurt so he turned it back to look at Chromedome. “You okay? Not hurt, huh?”

Weapon: Automatic Acid-Pellet Gun
Shuttle Longevity: Bridge

Silence quickly engulfed the bridge as Jazz and the others departed to resupply for their next assignment. Alone in the small cockpit, loving referred to as the Bridge, Ultra Magnus allowed his gaze to drift towards the forward view screen. Before him the Shuttle Serenity and its passengers faded from sight as Slingshot expertly piloted it back towards the Ark 22. Flickers of light from ignited impulse engines were all that remained as signs to the smaller vessels departure from the planet's gravitational grasp. Finally things were beginning to drift towards closure.

Without preamble the Autobot Commander toggled off the forward view screen and redirected power towards the final round of checks the computer demanded. As the final checks for potential sabotage or unforeseen damage done during the battle, Magnus activated the port side auxiliary terminal. The reddish text faded away to a yellow and greenish mixture of numerical data as well as several specialized key codes for various subsystems. He tapped into the third option, opening a direct slave link between the orbiting Ark 22 and the Longevity. A backdoor option he had personally insisted be installed in the larger vessel while he was her commanding officer.

The terminal keys changed to fit the programs he had accessed, the orbital terminal now matching the one present on the bridge of the Longevity. Typing in another set of commands the auxiliary terminal's screen erupted to a new series of data readings. Power readings, frequency dynamics and molecular cohesion quotients flooded the display. Off to the side, Magnus depressed the internal ship communications frequency. "Jazz, I trust you have received all of the relevant data and equipment you and your team will most likely require on your mission. I do not wish to involve the Decepticons locating our destination, so I am initializing a reflection bounce from here. You and your team will be transported to the last known coordinates of the signal Blaster discovered. Silverbolt, Hot Spot will most likely join your efforts as soon as they have finished their own refueling and should the need arise. In other words I am modifying their roles as Reserve Elements. Keep an emergency beacon available..." Magnus waited for the four verbal confirmations to echo through the live feed. As soon as he was comfortable that Jazz, Blaster and his remaining cassettes, Ratchet and Scoop were ready... a reverberation of the active pumping of a weapon's action down the corridor signaling the Infantryman's readiness, Magnus entered the final authorization codes to activate the emergency transportation of the four Autobots to their destination.

The brilliance the bouncing effect flooded the ship from the furthest end of the secondary cargo hold where Jazz and the others would have most likely gathered. Ultra Magnus pressed several more controls on the makeshift terminal console and adjusted the gain to preserve the signal cohesion as the four separate identities were broken down to subatomic particles and launched into the ether. The signal fluctuated only for a nano second before the experienced hands of the ship master was able to reroute the patterns through the Ark 22's main buffers before rebounding them back to the far side of the planet known as Earth. With in moments, the search and rescue team was gone, off on their assignment, leaving Magnus to do what needed to be done next. (All Bounces done with Permission, post reactions then head to Congo)

Magnus positioned himself behind the forward most console of the confined bridge of the shuttle craft. Slowly he drew his fingers across the first series of cybermetric scanners and toggles, as if to brush off an invisible layer of dust that may have gathered during the brief stationary period. As he pulled the bench up to the helm controls, he entered a secondary series of commands into the adjoining navigation center. The decks began to vibrate almost mercilessly as the helm processed the new course and link up coordinates with the Guardian.

Now sitting, Ultra Magnus opened a brief link between the Longevity and Jetfire. He instructed the scientist to provide escort to the Longevity and to finish the analysis and other tasks he had been assigned on board the Guardian. After that Magnus would direct the massive unit's services to more suitable locations. Primarily the new foundations of Autobot City, though he did not release that closely guarded secret. He closed the channel and turned his attention towards the newly reactivated forward view screen.

"Autobot City," he muttered to himself as engines far to powerful for a ship the size of the Longevity finally reached their lift off points. He pushed the throttle forward and pulled back on the manual steering yolk. "A place to potentially call home."

The Longevity shuddered again as the powerful engines forced it from its temporary respite on the surface of the planet the Autobots had sworn to defend. Once clear of the soil, the landing struts were retracted into the belly of the craft as the final gangplank was secured. Every Autobot and piece of equipment now claimed and secured inside. A jolt of thrust pinned Magnus, and most likely the others into their chairs or sent them sprawling if they were not stable, as the impulse engines finally sent the Longevity star wards.

As the clouds began to thin around the shuttle, Magnus eased back on the throttle. "Autobot City... Perhaps it is time to begin preparations in earnest." He spoke softly to himself as he began a mental checklist of all available personnel capable of overseeing such a monumental effort. Without looking Ultra Magnus activated the intercom. "Kup, Ironhide. I want both of you on the Bridge."

(IF you are on the Serenity, go ahead and move posts to the Ark 22 thread. Longevity will follow suit in the Guardian thread momentarily.)

"Kup, Ironhide. I want both of you on the Bridge."

The order came curt and unexpected. But considering who issued it, Ironhide wasn't surprised. He didn't know Magnus too well, he had always been under Optimus Prime's command. Kup, on the other hand, had served Magnus about as long as Ironhide served Prime.

"I guess I will let ya lead the way." he said to his fellow old-timer. "That is, if I can find a gear that low."

"So... We won, right? You okay? Not hurt, huh?"

Chromedome stared back at the archivist's blue visor as he questioned the results of the battle. The mnemosurgeon himself was totally unsure what the final outcome was, having been inside the interior of the shuttle for nearly half of it.

"Well, I'd say we won..." He replied with a slight uncertainty. "I mean, we're still here right? Alive, I mean."

"As for myself, only a couple of scrapes and nicks in the armor. Nothing the internal systems can't fill back in." He then stared at the hand that Rewind still clutched against the slab, the fight with Hex earlier replaying vividly in the back of his processor. He thought of nearly injecting into his limp form after he was pummeling the corrupted Autobot to the ground... Had Axle not been there to intervene, who knows what kind of real damage could have been dealt back there.

"Yeah, I'll be fine..."

"Oh, you betcha, Jazz. No way you're goin' get Prime without me. I'll fix us up some tunes for the occasion."

Ah, music to the audio receptors (quite literally actually) Jazz thought as Blaster mentioned getting a soundtrack together for their mission.

"Leave it to the master of sound blastin' to bring the goods!" Jazz exclaimed as he brought his fist up in between him and the communications officer, his fist forming the shape of what Earthlings conveyed as some universal symbol to "rock on". Jazz grinned a toothy smile, this felt all kinds of right. Definitely going to have to start using this sign a lot more. "Oh! Just be sure you get some of that CCR stuff I showed you. Though if you're gonna get Proud Mary, I hear this Tina Turner has a better cover. Original I think... I only skimmed the lists."

"So who you thinkin' about inviting along?"

"Well we got you, me, the Hatchet, and Scoop for starters..." Jazz replied as he started listing off mechs, unaware of the light from Magnus' manual override of the Ark-22's Bounce systems enveloping around him, "Then I sent up a call to Hot Spot to round up-"

Kup had just scoffed at Ironhide's earlier warnings to the younger members of the Autobot forces. Yeah, hopefully they'd get to see the end of this war while they were still in their prime. Go out and do something different with the long lives that their race had been granted. Kup held no such illusions. He could feel it in his spark. He wouldn't outlive this war. But he'd slaggin' sure try.

"Kup, Ironhide. I want both of you on the Bridge."

Huh. That was unexpected. Magnus sounded, well, like Magnus always sounded. Best not to read too much into it and just go see what they could do to help.

"I guess I will let ya lead the way. That is, if I can find a gear that low."

"Well, Primus knows ya couldn't find yer own exhaust port in the middle of the Helix Gardens, so I shouldn't be surprised that ya'd need me to lead ya to the bridge too, heh," Kup grinned as he sat up straight, stood up slowly and stretched some perpetually aching joints. That burr in his rotater just kept coming and going at the oddest times. With an extra grunt of effort, Kup headed for the shuttle's makeshift bridge area.

Motto: ""A look can be deceiving; a touch can be lethal.""
Weapon: Twin Shoulder-Mounted Rocket Launchers
Skies above Australia -- Autobot Shuttle Longevity -- CCCU

Howlstrike got tired of waiting for Bluestreak to exit the CR chamber and decided to hop onto an adjacent med birth in order to begin receiving some much needed repairs to his shoulder joint. There were other injuries the former Predacon had sustained during his fight with Hardhead, but those were not quite as serious. Most of the other CR units were filled with the wounded and even if there was a free one, Howl didn’t want to miss Bluestreak’s reaction to his new, more accurate paint job. Finally, his name and colors would match whether the chatterbot liked it or not.

While a medical drone toiled away on his shoulder joint, Howlstrike glanced over at the CR chamber containing the Autobot gunner. Any time now, Blue, the tracker thought with a slight groan under his breath. Bluestreak’s injuries hadn’t been that severe, had they? He seemed in one piece with only some dents and abrasions and possibly some internal damage, but nothing that should take numerous cycles to fix. Mech up and get out here already before I drag you out of there myself!

As if on cue, the CR chamber’s control panel beeped several times, signifying that the repair cycle was finally complete. With baited breath, Howlstrike watched as the nanite-rich fluid emptied from the chamber and the door slowly opened with a hiss. Shooing the med drone away before it had time to finish, the hunter sat up on the berth and swung his legs over the side as the image of the newly re-colored Bluestreak came into view through the mist emanating from the CR unit. “Well, well, look who decided to wake up! Ol’ blue-bot, himself. How you feeling?”

Bluestreak, a bit confused by Howlstrike’s overly friendly tone, stepped out of the CR chamber and began to stretch each of his limbs as remaining still for so long can cause stiffness within the joints. “Um, not bad, Howl. Thanks for asking.” The tracker flashed the chatterbot a toothy grin, allowing a slight chuckle to escape his vocalizer. “What the frag are you smiling at, Predacon? You think something’s funny?”

“Yep, I sure do,” Howlstrike responded, his toothy grin as wide as ever. “Whenever you’re around I find myself amused, but especially now, BLUEstreak! Hahahah!”

The gunner stared back at the former Predacon with a perplexed look on his faceplate. What the slag was Howl on anyway? “Are you drunk on high grade or something? You know if you drink too much of that stuff it’ll rot away your systems over time. That happened to a buddy of mine once a while back. Had to have his whole fuel pump replaced. Took him forever to...”

“Oh, shut up and just look down at yourself already for Primus’ sakes!” Howlstrike’s demeanor had gone from smiling to annoyed in less than an astrosecond. Of course, that was easy for any mech to do around Bluestreak’s non-stop chattering.

“Look down at myself?” Bluestreak replied back, still very confused with Howl’s recent behavior. “What’s the big deal.....HEY!!!” The gunner glanced down to see that his normally black chest plate/car hood was now silver. He then examined his arms and found that while his forearms were still black, his upper arms and shoulders were now a navy blue as were his hands. Upon further inspection, Bluestreak now had silver thighs instead of red and his lower legs and feet were also a dark blue color! The chatterbot then spun around and looked at his reflection in the window of the now closed CR chamber door where he could see that his head and door wings were also navy blue. The gunner quickly realized that his color scheme had somehow reverted back to what he had when he was a mere merchant in his home city of Praxus before it was destroyed by the Decepticons.

“What the frag happened?!” Bluestreak exclaimed as he spun back around to face Howlstrike once again. “I mean I didn’t change the color settings on the unit before entering. In fact I wasn’t even the one who initiated the repair....” For once the gunner’s voice trailed off as he glared directly at the former Predacon, remembering that it was Howl who had literally thrown him into the unit and started the cycle. “YOU! It was you who did this wasn’t it!?”

“Very perceptive, Blue,” Howlstrike replied, still grinning. “And I can now actually call you that and it make sense. Heh.” The chatterbot’s visage became one of sadness and rage, his mouth actually quivering as a result. “Now now, Blue, it’s okay. You’ll get used to it. I mean, you are called Bluestreak and not Silverstreak, you know.”

“But that’s not why I’m named Bluestreak!” The chatterbot shouted as he lunged at the tracker and pushed him back against the medical berth. “It had nothing to do with my coloring, you idiot Predacon! It hadn’t for a long time! Yes, I was once this color scheme but that was before my home city was destroyed by your ‘former’ comrades! Afterwards, I changed it to black in order to mourn their deaths! And now you’ve gone and ruined it!! You fraggin’ spawn of a glitch!!!”

Howlstrike was a bit surprised by the strength displayed by the smaller mechanoid, allowing the clearly upset ‘bot to push him back against the berth. However, when the chatterbot began to pound on the hunter’s chest, Howl’s own demeanor quickly changed from amused annoyance to outright anger. “Okay, I’ve had enough of this!!” Howlstrike retorted as he shoved the gunner away from him and back against the closed CR chamber. “Look, this was all only meant as a joke, Blue! It’s not the end of the slaggin' world. We just avoided that, remember? I’m sorry you lost your precious city, but maybe it’s time you got over it already! That was many vorns ago! Stop mourning their loss and start remembering them!”

The former Predacon paused for a moment as he took a step back from Bluestreak, who had started to calm down. “Now, if you want to change your colors back then fine! But, if I were you, I would consider keeping the blue and silver look as a way to keep your lost citizens’ memories alive since that’s how you looked when they were still functioning. Think about it, Blue.” Howlstrike then pushed the chatterbot aside and activated the CR chamber door. “Now, do me a favor and set the repair cycle for me once I’m inside. I still have some injuries to take care of. Think you can manage that?”

Bluestreak gave the former Predacon a hard look, crossing his dark blue arms over his newly silver chest plate. “I guess,” the gunner huffed as he turned towards the control panel.

“Oh, and Blue,” Howlstrike added as he grabbed a hold of the chatterbot’s shoulder. “If I come out of here pink, I will rip you apart and put you back together in ways you couldn’t possibly imagine. Got it?” With a hard gulp, Bluestreak nodded. “Good 'bot.” Howl then patted the gunner on the cheek before entering the CR chamber and leaning back against the inner berth. The doors then closed with a hiss while Bluestreak entered a series of commands on the console. Astroseconds later, the unit filled with the same nanite-rich fluid that the gunner had just bathed in.

Bluestreak took a few steps back as he considered actually making Howlstrike pink in color. However, the hunter’s warning still echoed through his cranium and he decided against doing anything so rash especially against the likes of a former Predacon. Instead, the chatterbot walked over and stood in front of a nearby wall’s metallic reflective surface and stared at his new blue and silver color scheme. It was like looking into the distant past when things were so much calmer and peaceful. The war had come to his doorstep so long ago and changed his life forever. No longer was he a mere merchant selling goods in the streets. Bluestreak was now a warrior, a gunner in the Autobot army fighting to avenge all those lost in his home city. It wasn’t just the mourning of neighbors that caused him to change his colors. It was the fact that he was no longer the same mech as before. But, was that really true? After all, deep down he was still a peaceful merchant at spark.

So, was Howlstrike right then? Was it time to stop mourning the lost souls of the past and instead start remembering them and himself as they once were? Perhaps. Keeping his original blue and silver colors would be a good way for Bluestreak to honor their memories now instead of allowing himself to be consumed with survivor’s guilt. Maybe, I guess, the gunner thought inwardly as he walked away from the reflective surface and headed out of the CCCU. Of course, the hatred for every last Decepticon would not go away. Not ever.

Still, Bluestreak was unsure of what he would ultimately do, but one thing was certain. In order to change his colors back he would need to spend another cycle in a CR chamber and Blue wasn’t about to take one up when another injured ‘bot would need it far more than himself. Therefore, the gunner decided to keep his new look, at least for the time being. Maybe he would eventually change it back or maybe he would keep it. Regardless of his paint scheme, those graphic images of dying and dead mechs would continue to haunt him and only non-stop chatter would help keep them at bay. The endless talking is one thing that would never change about Bluestreak.

” Well, I'd say we won..." Chromedome replied with a slight uncertainty. "I mean, we're still here right? Alive, I mean."

“Heh, yeah. I just…wish I could’ve gotten more of it recorded. It was historic! Just have to…collect accounts from everyone, I guess.” Rewind chuckled softly, already getting a little excited to have a new archiving task in mind. He nodded very, very carefully as the computer scientist reported that his own injuries were minimal. Good. That was good. Rewind felt relieved. However, that relief was short-lived.

Chromedome stared down at their held hands with a…kind of odd look on his faceplate. Something had happened. Maybe the rest of the footage that he’d shot would yield answers. After Domey presumably leaped at Hex, all the video had really was audio. Rewind lifted his other actuator weakly and clasped Domey’s hand in both of his much smaller ones.

“What’dya think about going star gazing after this, Domey? We haven’t in the Sol System yet.”

Weapon: Automatic Acid-Pellet Gun
Skies Above Australia: Long Range Combat Shuttle Longevity - Bridge

The thin auburn wisps of clouds swiftly pealed back as the prow of the semi circular blade liked saucer of the large combat shuttle sliced through the ever waning effects of the planet's atmosphere. The forward view port glanced through a narrow strip of hydrogen dioxide, leaving a small feint smear of perspiration before it too evaporating to the intense friction. The smears gave way to a large expansive blanket of stars burning bright in their glorious distance.

The majestic display of the cosmos, unfiltered in its magnificent glory, was only there in presence. For Ultra Magnus stared out of the view port lost in thought and the substance of the vastness of space was dismissed to irrelevancy. His mind raced back and forth from the various historical battles that had been fought throughout the war, and the very real possibilities that such battles would toll upon the world below.

Why had Optimus decided to make a stand on this backwater world? What significance or importance did this planet have, what role would it play in the future? These questions dogged Magnus since he had returned from the Battle Fortress Liberty to take command at Prowl's behest. Perhaps Optimus had decided that after all this time, enough had been enough... though Ultra Magnus doubted that had been the primary motivator. If that had been the case, the first world embroiled into this war would have invoked similar strategies and responses initially employed here.

Even still, regardless of why Optimus had chosen to deploy a larger force here than typical, Ultra Magnus had elected to run with that line of thinking. By ordering the construction of an outpost in the human city known as Detroit, and the covert construction of a true base or city in the sparsely populated mountains of the Southern American Continent, Magnus had elected to defend the planet Earth. The future construction of the Sky Spy defense network as well as anti orbital bounce nullification barrier, Magnus had ensured that the steps were in place to properly mount effective defenses from the inevitable incursions that would come.

As the various details floated through his waking revelry two reflections slowly began to develop on the forward canopy. Magnus slowly turned in the helm's forward chair to face the recent arrivals of Kup and Ironhide. A brief nod confirmed to them that he acknowledged their presence, an internal smile reserved for himself confirmed his admiration for the two who had seen more and done more than most every living thing on board the shuttle... combined... including himself.

Without preamble, Ultra Magnus reached over to the navigational adjunct to the helm console, and activated the auto pilot with a simple flip of a toggle. A quick glance confirmed the course was locked on an intercept to the Guardian which would be met in the next few minutes. Next he pulled himself up from his seat and walked over towards the auxiliary terminal to the left of two elders. "Thank you both for coming on such short notice, after such turmoil."

Once he reached the console, he entered a brief string of commands that linked the smaller computer core feed with that of the more powerful Guardian. He dove into a pair of secured files through a triple encryption and downloaded a pair of files that he needed the two officers to peruse before their next assignment. The data was downloaded in the blink of a nano second and the link itself was severed. Magnus then pulled the files into a pair of data slates.

He then offered one to each with a simple nod. "This is your next assignment." Magnus spoke slowly as the two slates began their own security scans. "As you are aware Kup, before our hasty deployment to the Australian Outback, I had ordered the expedition and exploration of a small hidden valley in what the locals call Andes Mountains. After reviewing Prowl's report as well as the supporting reports from the rest of the members of the commanding team, I had given a brief authorization to begin preparing the area for defense and construction. So far I have not been able to check up on that unit's progression, as you are also aware, as our attentions had been diverted elsewhere."

Magnus turned his attention to the auxiliary terminal monitor and pulled up a downloaded blue print of the first stage of construction. "Upon our arrival with the Guardian, I want you two to assemble a team of idle Autobots on board that ship. I need you to head down to the construction site with materials, tools and other necessities. Reinforce the site and prepare it for the arrival of the Ark 22." He looked to Ironhide and then back to Kup. "Kup, you are in command and Ironhide I want you to provide support and review the valley for security concerns... Are there any questions?"

OoC: Shuttle Longevity is now in space and headed to the Guardian. Please head on over to that threat... thank youz.
