Motto: "If you dont follow the true path of Primus...then meet your destruction!"
Weapon: Fusion Reaction-Powered Blowtorch Blasters
So im having trouble with this class. I dunno why, probs cos im more of a hit and run jet/scout person so prefer that to stand up fights, but i thought i'd give the leader class a go and im really struggling with it. anyone got any good loadouts or tips?

Motto: "Howdy, dammit!"
Weapon: Photon Blaster
The Ion Blaster is an all-around good weapon to have, IMO. The Fusion Cannon is a heavy hitter and has some nice splash damage. I personally also like the Magma Frag Launcher, especially in close quarters

Warcry is a necessity for a Leader. It boosts not only your abilities but also your teammates', and in games like Power Struggle or Conquest where everyone is congregating in 1-3 key areas, it's a good ability to have. Don't have any other suggestions for your other ability, that's personal preference.

For upgrades, definitely think about getting Martyrdom, which drops a Thermo Mine when you're killed (like MW2). The upgrades that increase the range of the Thermo Mine and the radius of Warcry are good, too. One upgrade I haven't tried yet since I'm not a high enough level but I want is the Reserve Power Cells (which is basically like Final Stand/Last Stand in MW2). It allows you to linger around for a while and keep shooting even after your energon levels have dropped to zero.

I've got two Leaders right now. One of them is armed with an Ion Blaster and Magma Frag Launcher, uses Warcry and Barrier, and has the Martyrdom upgrade and the upgrades that increase the range of the Thermo Mine and Warcry (I think). Pretty standard. My other Leader I've outfitted for heavy hitting and offense: Fusion Cannon and Magma Frag Launcher, Warcry and Moleculon Bomb, and...I don't remember what upgrades I gave him at this moment :P

I'm crap with aim, so I have way more luck with the ion blaster than the fusion cannon. Other people seem to use it (on me, often :) ) with success, so I can't really fault it. The only objective downside to it is that the reload animation takes _forever_.

Here's something I love to do that I've only really seen one other leader-class utilize: the Ram ability. Especially with Roll Out (increases ram damage). I've barreled into a crowd of enemies and taken out two at once without firing a single shot. If you can blindside someone, hit them with a truck rocket first and soften them up.

I'm trying to get better with Disruption. If you plan on using it don't make the same mistake I did. Disruption shoots a ball out where you're aiming. It's not a radius effect like Warcry or Shockwave. I was very confused on why it didn't work for a while. ;)

Best tip for using the Fusion Cannon is to angle it down at their feet. They'll be able to avoid it almost every time if you fire it at chest level, but the splash damage from hitting the ground is usually enough to take them out.

Use the Ion Blaster as your main weapon. Most of the time you will not even need to switch to your secondary weapon (Fusion Cannon) but there will be times it comes in hand. Also while it's tempting to use full auto to spray Ion Blaster rounds don't ever do that. Always tap it with your finger rapid fire. This is to prevent the spread from becoming to big and making you miss shots.

Always use War Cry when in range of your team mates. I've also become partial to the Energon Barrier above the other skills the leader has. It makes it to where neither side can shoot, and it'll sucker a lot of people into running through it. Where you just melee them once and kill them (scouts/scientists), or you open fire with your team mates (soldiers/leaders). It'll also buy you enough time to get out of the area and to an Energon cube if you need it.

Martyrdom only works if you have a Thermal Mine in your inventory. So keep that in mind. The Moleculon Bomb is only useful with the upgrades to it. So bare that in mind if you're wanting to use it as a button skill.
