Nothing, just the brand. Most of the bricks are completely identical. And the Kre-O stuff is just as sturdy.

I turned my Basic Optimus Prime set into a basic race car with no Autobot logos and doesn't transform. That's my diss to KREO.

This might not matter to the average TF collector, but Kreo bricks tend to have a minipeg (lego lightsaber sized) in one of their stubs. That's a good thing for people who do lego MOC, as lego rarely had bricks like these.
