So go buy a Metroplex!

I like him so much I have 2 metroplexes and a Metrotitan, which is the freakin shizzle imo. I love to colors and its so wierd/cool seeing the metroplex body with a con sticker.

One of the metros is a salavage job. I still need to get him some legs. So if anyone has a busted Metro, hit me up!

sorry to hear that,
she was just trying to be sweet,
it's the though that counts really,

but on the other hand she tried to buy
an expert something out of his own field.

it would be like me trying to buy a wine taster a wine.

just communicate with her man.
and she may want you to take it back and trade it in
for something you REALLY want. I'm sure she could
care less which Transformer robot it is.
afterwards, take her out to the olive garden or something
bro!
but anyways, I know this was a put down cybertron Metroplex

OP. It's really just his freakin head that's bothering me
and that's just me because I'm a Diaclone nut.
if it wasn't for that I WOULD get him.

Waitaminute....did you just say that Metroplex is better than Optimus Prime??!?!!

The Cybertron versions?

Even the G1 versions (though I can hear more arguments along this line.) But, Cybertron Optimus Prime (Galaxy Force, anyway) is the best Prime we've had in a long time, IMHO. Metroples is just down on all fours and is called "transformed."

Megatron didn't kill Optimus Prime, Hot Rod did.

Megatron was crushed and defeated by Prime until Hot Rod entered the fray.

Mega would have reached for the gun and killed him anyway. Prime was a big softy and would not have finished Mega off.

I'll add my own review for the G1 bruiser

Quote: "Vigilance is the foundation from which Victories are built"

Nearing the 20th Anniversary of Transformers: The Movie, I managed to acquire a 2nd hand, circa 1985, Hasbro Japan Metroplex aka Autobot City courtesy of Greattoys.

This version has plastic tires unlike the Takara's version, but to my surprise, despite the nearly two decades since its conceptualization, this version still can hold its weight against the latest Cybertron version.

When compared to his rival Trypticon (Dinozer), both in height and width, he is somewhat smaller (given in the anime, Dinozer was constructed much later than Metroplex).

By scale though, he isn't accurate in a sense that for him to reach at least the "City Mode", he'd have to be at least as tall as Fortress Maximus ( who stands 2ft. tall) so I guess when compared to Fortress in real-time he'd be a tad shorter (around the shoulders).

Metroplex the figure is as tall as the G1 Ultra Magnus, built like a wrestler and holds a fairly simple transformation when compared to his latest version in Cybertron. Thank heaven for the absence of the "gold-plastic syndrome".

Accessories to this bruiser are butt kickin' for he comes with the following:

1. Six-gun, sort off like Convoy's Combat deck, only mobile and sentient. Two black arms/guns, two red missle launching guns for legs, two smaller cannons for his torso and head and the Omni directional antenna/chest plate.

2. Slammer, a white tank that transforms into a tower.

3. Scamper, a souped up version of spy bots like Roller only black and transforms into a jet black six-wheeled sportscar armed with two guns on the roof.

4. (1) collapsing shoulder monted anti-matter projector and a removable version on the left shoulder.

5. Tower(?) building that mounts on his right shoulder blade.

He transforms into three modes:

1. Robot: with a hidden artillery guns on his left shoulder

2. Battle station: a cross between Macross and "King Diamond" stadium (Mekanda fans 'nuff said) 'cause of the wheels. I am not sure though if Metroplex ever took flight (only in the Japanese catalog battle scenes) in the anime.

3. Autobot City: composed of the chest "draw bridge" and a bunch of repair bays that make up his legs ( again in homage to Convoy's repair bay cum trailer/Autobot Headquarters)

I could get on and on but by far, I like him a lot, sure the Cybertron version has more points of articulation, taller and has a kick @ss hammer/weapon, but there is something about the G1 blockiness thats really magic, and the existence of Reprolabels more than makes up for the faded high lights.

I love G1 Metroplex. I got him last year for my b-day & I absolutely love him. He transforms into a few awesome alt. modes, & he connects w/all the Scramble City Teams. If I had the Protectobots, I'd have the complete Scramble City!! But so far, w/the Technobots replacing the Protectobots, it looks freaking awesome!! And he has Trypticon's ass to kick. I don't even have a problem w/the silver face. I thin kit makes him look distinguished. lol

What is there not to like about Megatron? He freakin KILLED Optimus Prime!! WTF did Galvatrn ever do? Pfft.

Galvatron destroyed planets. Whole planets. He was defeated by a winnebago. He shot Starscream one time and killed him. He put a powerful warrior as his second in command. His Ike to Cyclonus' Tina was much more convincing.
Megatron destroyed a patio. Granted a large patio, but it was just a patio. He was defeated by fire-retardant foam. He shot Starscream several times to no effect. He considered putting a walking sex bot his second in command. His Ike to Starscream's Tina was borderline playful petting.

Galvatron is Megatron's superior in every possible way. Except for the macaroni cannon-thing. But that's a discussion for another time.

Oh, and on topic: G1 Metroplex is awesome.

Fine fine, I'll break out the big guns.

There is no MP Galvatron. Megs wins

BTW, Metroplex does take flight in G1. You see him in tank mode in a season 3 episode. I forget which one though.

Decepticlon, do you have a pic with everything connected to Metroplex? I havent dne that in years as all my scramble city teams are packed away atm.

G1 Medroplex is conciderably cooler than Cyb Metroplex. Though personally I could have lived without the shinny face and one removable ariel (which of course mine version is missing grrr)

In fact, in a toy line as excelent as Cybertron/Galazy Force, Metroplex is one of the very few real disapointments. But the Giant planet was easily the weakest planet toy wise anyway.

I love G1 Metroplex. Really looks cool alongside the WSTF's and the KO special teams in that scale.

I never liked Optimus, always preferred Rodimus Prime but G1 Megatron is my alltime favourite TF.
