It appears the well known customizer known as Maiden Japan, famous for his Junkion upgrades for RtS Wreck-Gar and crew, will be having his sets mass produced. Set "B-1", the first image below, will be available at two yet to be announced on-line stores, one in the domestic market and one in the Asian market. Images and info from the Meteor Operation facebook page.

Meteor Operation wrote:We here at "Meteor Operations" would like to thank "Maiden Japan" the designer of the awesome "Junkion Add On Kits" for "Wreck Gar" and "Junkheap" molds and many other awesome upgrades,

Furthermore, we would like to thanks for allowing us the honor to tell the world that he will be MASS PRODUCING limited color variations never before released junkion add on sets.

Set B-1 is set to be released exclusively to two different online store, one for asian market and one for U.S. Here is a first look of the prototype set B-1

My first order took 3 months. Half of my my 2nd order was sent to me. That order was originally placed in September 2011. He does great work and is a cool guy in person, but can I get my order already ???

Full mass production is a lot more reliable than just one guy doing everything.

I have one lonely RTS Wreck Gar who was replaced by United Wreck Gar. May be tempted to turn him into a generic Junkion. Gotta say,t hough I wish he's make Cy-kill parts...

I was down for this until I saw the price tag. $65? Ouch. At $30 this set would be a no-brainer, but for double that, I may have to pass.

assuming you get enough parts to fully customise a few different Junkions maybe you could pitch in with someone else, if you're only wanting to mod one figure?

I'm relatively happy to see this set. Would have been happier to have the knowledge it was going to happen when Junkheaps were warming pegs all over though.

If this set comes with enough parts for several Junkions, $65 makes sense, and that's fine. But for one toy, and I'm assuming this set comes with enough parts for a single toy, that's a pretty high pricetag. The FP Superion upgrade came with way more than this for under $50 when it was first released.

As a proud owner of both the original Wreck Gar set and the Bludgeon set, trust me these things are worth the price! Those parts are the only reason I'm not selling my Bludgeon. They really work well with the Blood set to make it just about perfect. All it needs now is a voice chip that shouts Furmanisms!

Limited Color Variations never before released...? The only variation I can see from the previous sets is the spikes on the shield being orange and a little extra orange on the chest with extra gray in the middle... how exaggerated.

Mass Produced? Can you call it 'Mass Produced' when you're only making 160 sets and split them between 2 online retailers?

Not trying to nitpick..., but I'm a bit disappointed and confused. What's the point of going through all this trouble if the 'Mass Production' run is going to be so sparse?

If I understood the source I assume this info came from, it was that the original, handmade kits came to $65, but it's expected these would be less...more along the line of $50 or so. Still, $50 is way too much for something like this, regardless of how cool it is. Especially when you're looking at needing multiple sets.

MJ has an order form for individual pieces (the resin cast versions), and if you add up all the components being offered in this set, you would've paid $65 for everything (including hand-painted). Both retailers (Robot Kingdom and Ace's Toy Store) have preorders up and they are about $55 each. So, in essence you save $10 by getting these sets in an exclusive color scheme. There are 8 individual pieces, which may or may not be worth the price to some, but if there will be a limited run for these then he probably couldn't offer these at a much lower rate. If it's ever feasible to make another combination of pieces or different color scheme in higher numbers, then maybe the retail price will be lower and better fit for others.

Either way, I've been wanting to order these pieces for awhile now, and having a bundle and a savings were the right incentive for me.

So are these mass produced or are they just being made available through these retailers. Either way it's kinda crappy. If mass produced, the price is ridiculous. If just available via these outlets, would sure be nice if all those still waiting for their orders to be completed received theirs before branching out...

Petty cool i'm up for a set , so do you get the all the parts for one figure and all those heads ?.

I would have liked to have seen at least one more torso and a couple of random parts either armor or a weapon to go with each head to help mix it up.

The colored bits on the one figure are what you get for placing an order. The other heads are most likely prototypes for the other sets they plan to 'mass produce'.

1 head
1 chest
1 waist
1 ax
1 shield
1 set of knee pads
1 shoulder pad

These sets look like they're going to be pretty cool but unless you're lucky enough to have extra junkeons laying around, what's the point. It's not like I can buy more now at a reasonable price.

I've heard they're showing up at discount stores (Junkheap) and I think I even heard they put out more at TRU recently here locally.

Agreed. I got at least $200 more of stuff I want to order from him. But not until he sends me the rest of the stuff I ordered back in September 2011. If he has hired some help, they should be helping him complete our orders before they get to Robot Kingdom.

From what I've come to understand it's that MJ is letting them 'Mass Produce' these sets, but won't be using them to complete orders that were already made through him.

Only reason I can see for him doing that is so people who are planning to make more orders can go to a different source so they don't have to wait while at the same time lightening his future workload.

What are these going to be made of? Resin?

I see your point. But I dont see anything new in those pictures including the colors. Maybe "new" to people who dont visit TFW2005, but nothing technically new to people who order directly from him. As a matter of fact, if you order from him, you can pick the colors instead of getting a set with his choice of colors grouped together as a "set".

Seems to be, but at that I'm just speculating.

Yeah, the sales pitch for these is -very- exaggerated... I was tempted to pick some of these up at first, but given the short supply they intend to make available and the fact that the 'Limited Color Variations' are very minimal compared to the standard paint job from MJ selections... I'll stick with MJ.

The only real upside I can see to these kits is not having to wait. Where as with MJ people have been waiting close to a year to see their orders completely filled.
