I told you. I just got a little paint chip on mine from trying to apply the KO on mine. Hopefully it wont crack in the long term. But the Ultimate gift set Prime is a great alternative for using MT armor in these colors safely.

I agree with you on that point, and I even think the UGS prime looks better with it than SG Magnus does anyway.

I don't have an SG Prime, so I used my CH Prime.

Is there a trailer that goes with Ultimate Gift Set Optimus? That would surely sell since anyone could purchase this set, it's even on Hasbro's site. A very nice repaint to sat the least.

The Dagger armor works well on UGS Prime. Lots of people are using it for that, especially since it can damage the paint on Botcon SG Magnus.

Yep, that's what I'm gonna do. In fact, in my opinion at least, the UGS Optimus looks better in that armor than SG Magnus anyway. The legs match better instead of mixing black with blue and the red on his abdomen looks better with the chest piece than SG Magnus' blue does (again, just in my opinion).

I've yet to see pictures? My guess is the blue would be off quite a bit. Blue instead of red head too.

I've seen those, I'm referring to a Ultimate Gift Ste Optimus.

But I wanted to see this in all those modes using the Ultimate Gift Set Optimus with the blue head and darker shade of blue.





They should just make this trailer specifically for UGS Optimus, again everyone can get their hands on one just like a RTS Optimus and sales of this specific trailer would go through the roof. and with it not using a limited run figure they could mass produce that bad boy.

The DIA head comes with the set. You can use either the Botcon UM or the CH Prime figure with it. The head shown below will have to replace the current head of the figure that you want to use with the armor.



If you just want a trailer, you can just buy the KOs.

Nice! Now I just need to see a picture of UGS Optimus with this trailer attached in truck mode to make my final decision. I'll pass on the KO unless it has the chest piece and that head.

All the Battle Tanker sets come with larger replacement heads that are more proportional for the combined mode. Keep in mind you're more than welcome NOT to swap out the head if you don't wish to.

Compare SG Magnus and UGS Prime:


Red forearms, blue abdomen, red and white pattern on the knees, black feet.


Blue forearms with red detailing, black and red abdomen, orange on the knees, blue feet.


Blue forearms, black and red abdomen, orange on the knees, blue feet.

I haven't seen any pictures of UGS Prime hauling the trailer, but I imagine it can't look that different from SG Magnus hauling it.

My guess is, it would. That Mad Max front end has a very different shade of blue that's going to be right up against it. And the trailer has a stripe that UGS Optimus wouldn't. Maybe your right, weird we haven't seen any pictures though? I'll decide then I guess. Thanks for the info.

Well having established that the shades of blue aren't very different between SG Magnus and UGS Prime, it'd probably be what you see in the picture, but without the silver stripe and with a black rear section of the truck.


Maybe somebody who has UGS Prime and Dagger can help?

Hope this helps. In a hurry & have construction going on so it's not the best pic. I can try to get a better one later if needed.

There's a slight difference in shade, but it's not particularly noticeable. I'm very happy with how the Dagger set looks with the UGS Prime (though I probably will be painting the UGS Prime's hubcaps silver).

The colour difference is nowhere near this dramatic in normal lighting conditions. Just say no to flash photography.

What part of "in a hurry, construction going on" was unclear? I have no ceiling & no light(aside from a small desk lamp) in my office at the moment.

No offense intended, just figured that it was worth pointing out that flash never yields true colors of plastic.

Appreciate that. I never see the difference in the shades unless i look at the legs of the robot mode. Even that isn't enough to bother me. Those bug the hell out of me though.

Apparently half of BBTS's order shipped priority while the other half shipped less-so. It should arrive in the next couple of weeks.
