Dad some fun with my Invincible Iron Man, and my Avengers have assembled! I really like how they look despite the mish-mash of different origins for the figures.

So I'm gonna be a dick here and request that this thread be used for discussion about the actual shows/movies. There's a whole sub-forum for such things.

Maybe its time to change the title from Netfix shows to Disney Plus shows?

Well, Leto looks better as Morbius than he ever did as Joker.

That was Michael Keaton in the end. Does he play the Vulture character here as well? Or is it totally unrelated?

My guess is that they are related considering that the title character in this film Is Strongly connected to Spider-Man, if they really aren’t related then they are useing Mike to start least imply that the films are connected

This was a surprise for me I didn't know anything about it before seeing this trailer. And Michael Morbius is such a minor character (as far as I know) it's surprising he gets his own movie. I wonder if this might be the lead-in to the MCU's reboot of Blade.

I've seen a lot of discussion around it's placement in the MCU with either people saying it's part of the MCU while others saying it's part of Sonys spidey universe and only shares similarities with the MCU (evidence of this is apparently the old Spiderman trilogy suit on the graffiti despite the Murderer tag definetly being from Far From Home). My take is that it's a similar universe but it's still part of the MCU, just an offshoot, afterall, not like we don't have another movie out in the next few years that is dealing with the Multiverse...

All that said, I'm giving this a pass just because I'm not a Leto fan M, his best role (in my opinion) was getting beat up by Edward Norton in Fight Club.

Yes and no. He's one of those on-the-fringe characters who gets trotted out every few years as part of some Marvel Monster story line.

He's currently got his own on-going series, most likely to build interest in the character before the release of the movie.

Blade was as much a “minor character” And then there’s the guardians of the galaxy

Blade is currently an Avenger and also a member of Strikeforce (Avenger off-shoot team) so even he's getting a bit of exposure at the moment. Also no doubt to build up interest in the character.

No argument there, but the difference is that Blade has already been introduced in mainstream media. Morbius, as Burn said, has only been pushed in comics mainly, and I myself only know of him from his story in the 90s Spiderman cartoon, which was also used to introduce Blade.

How is there any difference here?

Prior to the live action Blade films, The only main stream media that Blade appeared in was that very same cartoon, Both characters are pretty much getting the same treatment

Blade already has a series of live action films, as well as a short-lived live TV series. Morbius doesn't. Yet. So if Blade gets another big-screen treatment, the character will already be more familiar to general moviegoers.

I'm not sure how much clearer I can make it. Blade already had a run in a series of live action movies starring Wesley Snipes, so therefore he's more well-known to general moviegoers. As far as the general audience is concerned, Morbius is a new(er) character. Those of us who followed Spider-man close know about him, but I guarantee you that if you stop 100 random people on the streets of a city and ask them about Blade and Morbius, a lot more of them will know about Blade. That's the difference. Notoriety, which might factor into a difference in box office. I'm stating this referring to the event that Blade might get another turn in the live action movies, this time as part of the Spider-man universe, and thus the MCU.
