I went through your post several times thinking maybe I misunderstood you but I really Don’t think so

Earlier you said Morbius is such a minor character it's surprising he gets his own movie.

I pointed out that Michael isn’t the first minor Marvel character[(s) to get a film, citing Blade and the Guardians as examples

You replied but the difference is that Blade has already been introduced in mainstream media. Morbius, as Burn said, has only been pushed in comics mainlqqy

And as I pointed out, there is no difference here
When the movies starring Wesley Snipes were made , the chaaracter of Blade had not really entered the public mainstream media eye.....at that time the character of Blade was not well known outside those like us, the character had really only been (as you pointed out about Morbius) been Published in comics mainly and had an appearance (or 2?) in the 90s Spiderman cartoon.

so therefore I don’t understand your surprise about a minor character like Morbius getting a film, the same exact thing was done with Blade

No difference at all

Do you have to argue every single time? Take a step back and just let it go FFS.

The explanation is in my previous post. I'm talking about in the event a new Blade movie is released NOW or in the NEAR FUTURE. Not BACK THEN. If a new Blade movie follows Morbius, as the characters were connected in the Spider-man cartoon, he won't be considered a minor character, because he's had a live action series in theaters already. People will know about him due to previous exposure. That's the difference between Blade and Morbius. I hope that's clear enough. Like you said, you must have misunderstood, and focused on the wrong part of my point.

I must have, thanks for clearing it up

The thing I’m wondering in all this is the connection to the MCU, half guessing it going to be a “soft” connection if you get my meaning

You mean that Blade won't appear with other main MCU characters?

My biggest question about Morbius is whether they keep the suction cups on his hands or if he'll use fangs the whole time.

I think he meant morbius rather then Blade and he's right about it being a soft connection as I think while this film will reference the MCU, I don't think Leto will appear in any other MCU (which is good for me)

I think the Sony movies will prove to be part of the multi-verse, instead of part of the regular movie verse.

Yes, Pretty much this

To be more precise I think all the characters that fall under the Sony banner will have a soft connection to the MCU.....and there might be a few References to MCU events but that even those references might be a bit vague

I haven't seen the X-Men movies in a couple of years, so I decided to have a marathon over the last 2 nights. I understand that the 2 trilogies are separate from each other, DoFP and Dark Phoenix made them so. But I tried to watch them in chronological order anyway, to see if they make sense. And the only way I can do it is if I watch them in this order:

First Class
Apocalypse
Origins: Wolverine
X-Men
X-Men United
Last Stand
Days of Future Past
Logan

I'm not sure where The Wolverine fits in, since its credit scene was a preview of DoFP (I don't remember much else and I don't own the movie). Would it be after X3? I've decided to ignore the last one, because IMO it's a complete shitshow (and makes the timeline totally unacceptable, with Jean and Mystique dying).

I've always thought of slotting in The Wolverine after X3 yes, sort of like X4/Origins 2 sort of deal.

Although except for Logan, I don't think his claws being cut off in that movie actually has any effect on the timeline.

I haven't really bothered with the new movies after DoFT. That was a great movie, and like you said it's its own universe to me

Thats what I imagine to be true.

Top X-men movies for me right now:
X-men Days of Future Past
X-men 2
Logan
X-men First Class

One thing I want out of the new MCU movies is that Cyclops to play a larger role.He is one my favorites X-men.

So I just found out Chadwick Boseman died today. I never saw black panther, but I did see him in other movies and he was a good actor. It's just a total surprise, he didn't tell anyone he was battling cancer for the last 4 years.

Edit: you beat me to it, Burn. Yeah, **** cancer.

Guess he was just one of those people who wanted to keep their battles private. It's probably easier on the person and their family I guess.

It's incredibly depressing. He had some true friends and family, battling cancer for 4 years and no one knowing. And what he did while battling it too, it's incredible. We lost a true hero, it's sad

I saw the headline yesterday about this and just shrugged. I don't think much of him as an actor, so I don't care about his involvement. I am kinda excited for the Sinister Six coming together, so hopefully that will be handled well.

With the series currently on Disney+ and by extension, a property now bound for the MCU. It frees me up to mention this art book I both found, and purchased, the same day...
